Part of the space needle floor is made up of tilting glass benches leaning out to the city and also a glass floor for you daring people to step on it and look all the way down to the bottom. As the space needle was built in 1961, there is a long history of the tower, where it was once a radio tower, it also withstand an earthquake of 9.2 magnitude, it was also once a restaurant. The space needle has stopped rotating since the earthquake, i believe a safety concern. BUt there is much to see and do up the space needle. Spend sometime up there, get a coffee, have some food and absorb the view from the above. You can see the entire 360 of Seattle up from the tower. A totally different view when the entire seattle is covered in snow, basically a winter wonderland in downtown seattle. There are several landmarks/popular places in downtown seattle. But the 2 most popular ones are: 1. The first starbucks coffee ever Many call this the original starbucks coffee place which 1st open its doors in 1971. It has kept its early appearance over time and is subject to design guidelines with historic significance. It is known for tourist attraction and hosting crowds. Although it is similar like any other starbucks, it is more of the historical value it holds and if you are lucky, you might find some merchandise that only this starbuck sells. 2. Pikes Place Market - The oldest continually operating farmer's market in the United States and the core of activity in the area that operated since 1907. The Market is built on the edge of a steep hill and consists of several lower levels located below the main level. Each features a variety of shops such as old antiques dealers, comic books and collectible shops, small family-owned resturants, and one of the oldest headshops in Seattle. The upper street level contains fishmonger, vegetable and fruit stands and craft stalls operating in the covered arcades to shelter you from the cold or the rain. Local farmers and craftspeople sell year-round in the arcades from tables they rent from the Market on a daily basis, in accordance with the Market's mission and founding goal: allowing consumers to "Meet the Producer".

I took the Ruby Princess Cruise to Alaska and took some portraits on the cruise. I also had friends with me and my friends: the little friends who love to take pictures, the children who watched the scenery, my visit here, the Princess Ruby.
