I walked slowly along the spacious and comfortable avenue, with shop windows full of cultural vibes. Since 2024 Schwerin Castle is acknowledged as Unesco World Hertitage and its absolutely worth a visit. You can see it from the outside and aswell the amazing gardens free of charge. Inside visit and tours cost some Euros. The sourindings are also picture Postcard Lake areas and huge parks. #familytrips2024 I had always wanted to visit an European Castle 🏰 and paid for the entrance for Schwerin Castle. I was informed that I could enter the limited time only "Treasures in Dialogue" exhibition at the Schwerin Castle Museum too. The exhibition "Treasures in Dialogue" showcases an exquisite selection of Netherlandish paintings (16th to 18th centuries) and European decorative arts. There were only a couple of people in the whole museum, so I could slowly take my time to relax and admire the masterpieces. 😊👍 #europetrip #germany

#familytrips2024 Address: Schusterstraße 8, 19055 Schwerin, Germany A lovely quiet Mediterranean restaurant in the city centre of Schwerin, I visited the restaurant after the visit to the beautiful Schwerin Castle 🏰. I had a walk around the city centre before I found the restaurant and ordered pasta. The serving was quite big and beautifully plated. It's delicious 😋 as well. The restaurant ambience is quiet with dim lighting. It's not a very big restaurant but over the other side of the restaurant, they have tables for bigger groups.

#familytrips2024 Hotel Am Schloß Address: Heinrich-Mann-Straße 3, 19053 Schwerin, Germany Located just around 10 minutes away from the Schwerin Mitte station and around 15 minutes away from the Schwerin station, the hotel had a nice view of the castle and lake. The town shopping area can be reached by walking or via bus too The room is quite big with a dressing table and dining table. Overall it's a comfortable stay and a nice base to explore in Schwerin.

In spring, it's the perfect weather to have a relaxing stroll around the serene garden and enjoy the lush greenery and view of the castle and town. This will also be a great place for families and friends to relax, play and have a picnic. There are also benches around for you to sit down and relax. The statue of Reiterstandbild Friedrich Franz II is also found here.

Open to the public, you can just walk in to admire the castle garden and relax on one of the benches available. Lion monument is in the center place of Schwerin. Here is the main market place of the city. The symbol dedicate to the victory of Schwerin’s founder. From here you can easily go to St Marien and Schwerin castle. There will be some events and market here for people who come around if you come to Schwerin so it is the place that you shouldnt miss!
