Memorable hiking trip to Waerebo
#hikingtime
The only way to go to this village is by hiking. If you happen to visit Labuan Bajo, spending your time for hiking to this village is worthy. The name of this village is Waerebo.
If you want to feel hassle free, you should probably book a local tour to the trekking point by a car and they will arrange everything we need. The hiking is not hard so I think everybody can do this.
If you have strong guts to get here by yourself, you could rent a motorbike or a car from the city Labuan Bajo. I suggest you to have accompany at least one mate just for cautious in case you need a rest so you can switch drive with your travel mate.
The trip will take around 3 hours, could be more depending on your speed. It is better to buy some snack just in case you need energy to drive.
The moment you start hiking, this will take about an hour way to the village. You need to prepare cold clothing as you will stay a night at the traditional village house which is so authentic like you could never see them anywhere else!
You will also be served with its best local coffee during your breakfast time. If you are a coffee lover, i guarantee you will like it!
As you will not be able to connect your phone with internet, means you will have no connection up there, it is the best time to detox yourself from online living life and start to vibing with locals. They are all nice people and welcome you warmly! 🤗
I love it very much there since I arrived 😍

It is an interesting traditional village high up in the mountains. Takes quite some effort to get there from Labuan Bajo, with a long, very bumpy ride on the road, a scooter taxi ride from Denge, then a 5 kilometres mostly uphill hike in the forest. When you arrive there you are rewarded with a stunning view of seven, traditional houses.
The people in the village welcome you with a little introduction which then you can follow with a little walk around in the village.
