Merudu Station coffee shop is located at Jalan Merudu. It is at the road side of Jalan Merudu, after crossing the Merudu bridge. There served local dishes such as kampua, laksa, fried mee, and rice dishes. I had order Sarawak Laksa, it served vermicelli, laksa soup and condiments with 2 big prawn, chicken meat, egg, bean sprouts, and green onion. Laksa taste good and recommended by local people. The trip has going through some up and down mountain road. So be sure you are not easy to get carsick. Once reached, you have to park your car outside and walked 1km in the forest in order to see the waterfall. Backpack and kampung adidas are suggested. Get your hand free cause you might need to cross some creeks (some wooden bridge were broken)

#travellerswonderland Nice atmosphere & the staff was attentive to ur request. I ask for no clams / mussels in my pasta & their staff even said I can replace it with other ingredients. So I choose to add more shrimps. The service and the food was good. But it's depend on ones palate. I prefer salty food but their food more towards the sweet side. But still acceptable for me. Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

#travellerswonderland Popular landmark in Sarikei. Situated at the town centre. Tourists attraction. The other one situated at water front. Very crowded road to reach the statue. Bottleneck Road and traffic. That means Sarikei is famous as a producer of pineapples fruit. That lamdmark built is so creatively and strategical place that attract Sarikei people and tourist to come here.

Spontaneous trip to Sarikei. Took us 2 hours to reach from Sibu due to traffic jam. Our first stop was at Kedai Kopi Aik Seng. We ordered their fried mee, baked bun (with kaya butter and peanut butter inside) and kampua. Their kampua is very different from what we used to have. They serve it with beef gravy. Later we dropped by a rotan shop whereby you can get wide range of rotan products at a reasonable price. Later we took away the famous mochi from Kim Hing Bakery. Their cheese mochi is highly recommended.

Aik Seng Cafe is located at Wharf Road, town centre of Sarikei. It has been opened since 1930 before the World War II. This restaurant is highly recommended by locals. Aik Seng is famous with chacoal grill roti kahwin, which is bread with kaya, peanut, and butter spread. Their loh mee and nasi lemak also very signature dishes. The food is all halal and suitable for muslims and non-muslims. The beverages that I like the most is their fresh soya drinks. #aikseng #traditional #sarikei

JUICY PORK SATAY is located at No.11 Jalan Seng Lee, 96100 Sarikei Sarawak. It is a homestyle satay stall in a house. They are selling pork satay and also chicken satay. For beverages, there also serve coconut shake and also fresh coconut drinks. The satay is made from sliced marinated meat and served with cucumber, onion and also satay sauce made by ground roasted peanut. Their satay is freshly baked and serve hot.

Chin San Cafe is located at 11, Jalan Merdeka, Bandar Sarikei, 96100 Sarikei, Sarawak. It has one of the best Kampua noodles in Sarikei. Their Kampua can be order in white, black or with chili sauce. The most famous taste is their Kampua black with chili sauce. Very local taste. The service is good.
