This is a good venue for lunch or dinner before/ after crossing border between Thailand and Malaysia. This cafe is new and not many tourists aware of this location. It is a hidden gem with great ambience with bright and sleek design. It has both indoor and outdoor seatings. They serve fresh brew coffee, homemade bakery and delicious cakes. Historical Tunnel, Khao Nam Khang National Park It was dug by Chinese Communist bandits (C.K.M.) since World War II. It is located in Nathawi and Sadao districts, Songkhla province. In 1980, the Thai government successfully suppressed and reclaimed the area and established it as a national park (I read the history and details from the pamphlets that were distributed). Inside the building, there are many displays of weapons, equipment, and belongings of the Chinese Communists, as well as various photographs. Before entering the tunnel, there is a koi pond. They are very thin. If anyone stops by, buy a bag of fish food for 20 baht. It is sold at the entrance to the building + a 20 baht entrance fee to the tunnel per person. The tunnel is about 14 kilometers from the park office. You have to drive past it. The Khao Nam Khang National Park office has a camping ground right near the waterfall. #SouthernTourism

#hatyaitrip 📍Zab Inter Sadao, Hatyai Stopped by this restaurant while we were on a road trip from Malaysia to Hatyai city. The restaurant is conveniently located near the border, perfect place to stop by and have a break before driving further north to Hatyai city. The restaurant is huge and spacious, can accommodate friends and families of larger groups. There is also plenty of parking spots available on the site, easily accessible and convenient. They serve authentic Thai food here at Zab Inter Sadao. Food was served warm and quickly, came in great presentation, instagrammable enough. Love the fried rice which was flavourful and full of umami, fried chicken wing was well cooked too!

The restaurant is new, spacious and clean, serving authentic local Thai cuisine. They have a huge parking area as well, so no troubles at finding parking spots. Having both indoor and outdoor seatings, with wooden painted seats, this restaurant is cozy, homey and comfortable! Love the service from staffs, very friendly and nice! We ordered tomyam kung (tomyam soup with shrimps, mushrooms) and a salad to pair with rice. Tomyam soup was really delicious and flavourful, was a little bit spicy but all’s good! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

I arrived here in the evening, although I personally feel that it might be more beautiful during the daytime. Nonetheless, it still held a mysterious allure. Inside the temple, there's a white snake statue with fresh flower offerings in front of it. I took a moment to offer my prayers here. Flanking the temple entrance are two white elephant statues, adding to the solemn and sacred atmosphere. Whether day or night, this place is serene and spiritually significant, providing a sense of tranquility and sanctity.

We started this trip from Hat Yai city to Sadao district, which took about 1 hour. We left at 4 am and arrived in Sadao at around 5 am, which was still dark. While walking up the mountain, we had to use a flashlight. We might have been lucky that day because it rained that night, so we knew there was fog. But unfortunately, the path to the top was difficult and muddy. It took about 30 minutes to walk up to the top of the mountain. There were ropes to hold onto along the way. When we reached the viewpoint, all the tiredness disappeared. It was worth it. Thick fog and dew on the grass, plus we got to see the sunrise. #thailandtrip 📍Maimoke Restaurant, Sadao, Thailand Stopped by at this beautiful restaurant serving local authentic Thai cuisine while driving from Malaysia to Hatyai. The restaurant is located 20minutes away from the border, making it such an ideal location to stop by. The restaurant is huge and spacious, with plenty of seating areas, both indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with mini emerald lake and intricately built traditional buildings. They do offer a huge variety of food selections like seafood, meat, vegetables, tomyum. We ordered their curry chilli crab which was flavourful, came in generous portion and great presentation. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience here.

The way up to Khao Rup Chang Cave is built as a seven-headed Naga staircase. In front of the cave entrance is a large golden-yellow Buddha statue for tourists to worship and ask for blessings. In addition, the front of the cave looks like an elephant's head. When entering the cave, the first thing you will notice is the magnificence of the cave because it is a large limestone cave filled with sacred objects. There are Buddha statues in various postures, reclining Buddha, hermit statues and Chinese deities such as Guan Yin and Sangkachai. Malaysia Public holiday seasons. Sadao border very packed with malaysian preferring the nearby town for a vacation. All public transport tickets filly sold out. During the day, vehicle need to que for almost 6 hours, for passport verification Another 3 hours for vehicle custom form. Thai authorities still doing manually( i think they need to be aligned with current technologies as to embed it into the internet platform) Nevertheless, all in all. Total from malaysian border to sadao border is with total time of 8 hourse waster

When thinking of traveling to Chiang Rai, the first attraction that everyone knows is probably the White Temple. The hands that symbolize desire grow all around the temple.
