Nong Lom Forest Temple
📌 Wat Pa Nong Lom, Nong Waeng Subdistrict, Watthana Nakhon District, Sa Kaeo Province
👉It was built in 1981. It is a small temple surrounded by shady and peaceful forests. In 1998, Wat Pa Nong Lom traveled to invite Luang Pu Mun to visit Wat Pa Nong Lom, Watthana Nakhon District, Sa Kaeo Province. When Luang Pu Mun came to stay, he built a small hut and meditated. Luang Pu Mun traveled back and forth between Wat Ban Jan and Pa Nong Lom until March 11, 2003 at 7:30 a.m. Luang Pu Mun passed away peacefully at Wat Ban Jan, Kanthararom District, Si Sa Ket Province at the age of 109.
👉Luang Pu Mun Thitsilo means one who is steadfast in the precepts. Luang Pu Mun was a meditation monk with great compassion. He was the abbot of Wat Ban Jan, Kanthararom District, Si Sa Ket Province. Luang Pu Mun was a native of Sisaket Province His parents worked as farmers. Later, when he was 14 years old, he came to live at Wat Ban Jan, Kanthararom District, Sisaket Province. He was ordained as a novice and studied Dharma until he was 20 years old. He was ordained as a monk and went on a pilgrimage throughout Thailand. 👉When he returned to be the abbot of Wat Ban Jan, many villagers in Sisaket Province and the provinces in the northeast traveled to ask for blessings from Luang Pu Mun every day. Luang Pu Mun created amulets for Wat Pa Nong Lom for relatives and devotees to worship. In addition, the temple has various items of Luang Pu Mun for tourists who travel to this temple to visit, such as the car that Luang Pu Mun used to travel between the two temples and walk to see the shrine, Luang Pu Mun's hut.
👉 Finally, pass under the belly of the turtle with three eyes and two tails, creating a riddle. On top of the turtle is the old hut where Luang Pu Mun used to stay. Wat Pa Nong Lom requested to build it on the back of the turtle. For those who believe in superstition, you must go under it for good luck.
