2024 Qatar Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in November)
Qatar is located on a peninsula in the Persian Gulf abutting Saudi Arabia. The country’s economy is dominated by oil and natural gas exports, which have allowed the Qatari government to accumulate tremendous wealth. Lavish spending on museums and other tourist infrastructure has helped increase Qatar’s international reputation. Set to host the 2022 football World Cup, this investment should continue into the foreseeable future. In the capital Doha, visitors can tour the Museum of Islamic Art. Designed by I.M. Pei, this extraordinary museum showcases some of the best examples of art from around the region. The Katara Cultural Village offers a taste of traditional Bedouin lifestyle and flavor. With luxury developments and grand shopping plazas, Qatar is well positioned to attract visitors from around the world.

Qatar Business Class Experience
I finally understood why Qatar Airways was voted the best airline in the world.
Perhaps it might have been better with business class but my trip back in economy class was equally good!
My business class experience was great as the moment you stepped into the plane, you are greeted and showed to your seat and showered with drinks and treats to get you comfortable. Through the flight, the air stewards were constantly checking in to ensure all my needs were being met.
The seat itself was perfect. Private cabin with ample of space coupled with a fully reclinable bed 🛌. The food on the other hand could have been better as some dishes were disappointing.
Nonetheless, the overall experience on Qatar Airways business class was amazing and I would definitely jump at the chance of flying with them again.

The old market in Vclav is the most beautiful market in Qatar. This is the most famous place in Qatar and a must-see for Doha. Since ancient times, the Bedouin traders have gathered here to trade with each other and for the local community. Provide what you need every day. Today these traditional markets still occupy a very important position in the modern life of Qatar. It is also an ideal choice for shoppers, with a variety of souvenirs and regional specialties. Such as carpet textiles, Bedouin wovens, Arabic coffee pots, antique silverware, inlaid jewelry boxes, local art and camels and horses, etc. Most of the buildings in the
old market are two-story civil structures, old and old, with mud walls and exposed wooden beams that retain the original Arabian original features. Walk into these criss-crossed and narrow alleys, look at the goods, listen to the vocals, the yellow rough walls, the goods piled up everywhere, all kinds of shops facing the street. Tourists and locals on the Arab benches on both sides of the main street, with long hookahs beside them, take a few deep breaths, relax in the smog, and look at the white robe At that moment, if the light returned at the same time, it returned to the era of the thousand and one nights. There arent many entrances to the old market in Vaughan, although these old narrow alleys and passages seem to make people lose their way in the inside, but you can guarantee that no matter where you enter, you can always move forward from one to the other. The world of thousands of nights is back to reality, and it is a new world of psychedelic.
A magical country that brings together many INS Net Red Art Pavilions!
Speaking of Qatar, a country located in the middle of the west coast of the Arabian Gulf, the ancient Greeks called it "Katara", which the Romans called "Katalar", which the ancient Arabs called "Catalila". Its predecessor was the Qatari emirate, established by Sani Ben Muhammad in 1846, and then officially declared independence on September 1, 1971, before we got Qatar on the map. You can be sure that as long as you are born in Qatar, you are a real Qatar, then when you are born, you don't have to spend a penny on your health, and your child can enjoy free education. Even the water and electricity gas used in life is paid by the government without spending a penny. The per capita annual income is also more than 800,000, so it can be said that all localities are local tyrants. Chinese citizens can stay in Qatar for a period of no more than 30 days with valid Chinese diplomatic, official, official and ordinary passports.

Another new work by Koolhass, the designer of Beijing Big Pants, designed a library with only one floor for Qatar, the Qatar National Library. Koolhass himself said that this is the most satisfying of all his works. The design of the
Qatar National Library building is like a shell-like structure in which two pieces of paper are pulled apart at the corners and folded at the corners. This structural design ensures a completely open space inside the building. The exterior of the building is lifted from the ground, forming three collection spaces and enclosing the center of the building into a triangle. This design also ensures that the entrance to the building can reach the center of the building. It is amazing.
After entering the library, it is the most central location of the library after security. You can see the whole picture inside the library at a glance, and you can't extend the bookshelf to the surrounding area.
In the center of the square is a deep six-meter ancient library, because the preservation of ancient books should try to avoid the sun, because they can not be placed in a ventilated environment, during the design process, Koolhass let the underground The ancient library looks like an archaeological site, and its interior uses marble and other building materials to distinguish it from other materials in the library that are dominated by stainless steel.
Qatar National Mosque
Byzantine style, surrounded by 32 large flower windows, with Arabian flair, you can see the prosperous city view of Doha through the window. The tall tower extends upwards, which is the characteristic of the mosque. It is specially used to put music broadcasts and call everyone to come to worship.
Qatar attaches great importance to education. In the university town, it not only introduces the top colleges of world-renowned universities, but also the network red card: Qatar National Library.
The shape of the building is a folded book, and the stepped bookcases mean that the knowledge is endless. The library is so beautiful. I am willing to work hard in such a library!
can also sit in the glass ball to read a book and drink coffee super romantic
catching flights is always good!

Qatar quality time
Qatar is a fascinating blend of modernity and tradition, offering a unique cultural experience. The capital, Doha, impresses with its stunning skyline, luxurious malls, and world-class museums like the Museum of Islamic Art. The rich heritage is evident in traditional souqs and desert landscapes. Qatar’s hospitality is exceptional, but the extreme summer heat can be challenging.

Qatar | There's more to it than just the World Cup
🌐 The richest country in the world, many people think it's Dubai, but in fact, Qatar is even richer. This tiny nation is the wealthiest in the Middle East💰.
As the first World Cup in history to be held in a Middle Eastern country, the host has spent $220 billion, introducing Qatar to the whole world🌐
🏰 The best season to visit Doha, the capital of Qatar, is from November to March of the following year. During this period, it is cooler and more comfortable, which is also the reason why this World Cup is held in winter for the first time.
👑 Although it is smaller than Beijing, the scenery here is no less impressive.
① Qatar National Museum
Modeled after the 'Desert Rose'🌹, from afar it looks like a rose blooming in the desert. Walking through the museum, you can learn about the ancestors of Qatar and the early formation of cities.
② Katara Cultural Village
🌇 Doha has a series of stunning cultural venues, including museums, galleries, and public art. In Katara Cultural Village, tradition and modernism are powerfully combined.
③ Souq Waqif Traditional Market🏛️
Coming to Qatar, of course, you want to experience the local oldest traditional market, which is also a portrayal of 'One Thousand and One Nights'🏜️. Its labyrinth-like alleys contain all kinds of wonders, such as Middle Eastern goods, traditional music and arts, cultural performances, and unique coffee shops☕.
④ Museum of Islamic Art🖼
At the art museum, you can witness the miracle of the sea view and unique architecture merging into one, and learn about the museum's internationally renowned collections. The MIA Park next to the museum is a great place for family picnics, walks, and outdoor yoga.
⑤ Doha Corniche🛣️
A 7-kilometer long magnificent promenade, overlooking the tranquil waterfront, walking through it is like stepping into the world of tomorrow, especially intoxicating during sunrise and sunset.
⑥ Banana Island🍌
Also known as 'Qatar's Maldives'. Viewed from the sky, the island's semi-curved shape resembles a banana, hence the name.
⑦ Lusail Stadium🏟️
This can be said to be a city specially built for the World Cup. Lusail Stadium is the largest stadium in Qatar and the core venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup🏆.

I took a series of desert photoshoots in Qatar!
😛For kids from the coast, the desert must be so much fun!
On this trip to Doha, Qatar🇶🇦, our Arabian guide drove us in a four-wheel drive off-road vehicle deep into the Middle Eastern desert to experience the exotic atmosphere. We rode camels🐪, caught falcons, and drove UTVs through the sand dunes, which was incredibly thrilling!
👔Clothing: This time it was a post-apocalyptic style, which matched the desert well. You can also buy an Arabian headscarf to wear, and it looks great.
🔥The southern desert of Doha, Qatar, connects to the sea, allowing you to witness the magnificent sight of half desert and half sea. It is recommended to wait until evening to see the sun slowly disappear from the top of the sand dunes, which is very healing.

An awesome stopover experience sponsored by Qatar Airways for free accommodation in Qatar of up to 4 days.
It's a great place for a short vacation. Do checkout their national museum, great architecture. The exhibition was breath taking, one the best I've seen, lots of effort were put into it. Going around the country was easy with just Uber. The subway are clean and efficient.
Don't worry about food, all kinds of cuisine are found there.
F1 Qatar Grand Prix Preview: Circuit in the heart of the desert
🚧Located in Qatar, the Losail Circuit is a relatively new F1 circuit, just joining the F1 calendar in the 2021 season.
🏜️As a circuit in the Middle East, the Losail Circuit is equipped with a large number of lighting equipment to ensure that the race can be carried out normally at night, and a large number of plants have been planted around the circuit to reduce the impact of sand and dust on the circuit conditions, providing the conditions for all-weather opening from October to April, the most pleasant climate in Qatar.
🏎️The Losail Circuit has a single lap length of 5.418 kilometers, the main race needs to complete 57 laps, a total distance of 309 kilometers, a full length of 5380 meters, the longest straight line is 1068 meters, so the Losail Circuit poses a great challenge to the tuning of the car, people who love racing 🏎️ must not miss this event, it's really different to watch it live!
A trip to Qatar
#wecreate
I recently embarked on a journey to Qatar, a tiny country in the Middle East. I was intrigued to see what this oil-rich country had to offer.
I arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and was immediately struck by the juxtaposition of the old and the new. The city is home to traditional Islamic architecture, such as the Grand Mosque, as well as modern skyscrapers and shopping malls.
I spent a few days exploring Doha, visiting the Souq Waqif, a traditional marketplace, and the Museum of Islamic Art. I also took a boat ride on the Doha Corniche, a waterfront walkway.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the desert. I went on a desert safari, which included dune bashing, camel riding, and sandboarding. It was an exhilarating experience!
I had a wonderful time in Qatar. It is a country with a rich history and culture, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique travel experience.

Visit Qatar in winter
✈️Wanna travel during winter yet fear of cold? Visit Qatar!
🎉Other than Qatar, I have never encountered a place that is better for a winter vacation. From December through February, the sky is generally clear and temperature is warm, approximately 22°C (72°F). Travel, leisure, and sight-seeing are all ideal during the spring-like season. If you are an architecture lover, Qatar is your paradise. This country offers many of architectural marvels to savor, ranging from traditional heritage to modern architectures, and newcomers will find it all here.
