Why not meet in person at the Zhuge Ancient Town in Mian County
🛣️ Mian County in Hanzhong, a place where Zhuge Liang passed through and stationed multiple times, is also where his spirit returned after a hundred years. Many attractions related to the Three Kingdoms culture and Zhuge Liang remain here, including the Mian County Wuhou Temple, which predates the one in Chengdu, and the newly built Zhuge Ancient Town.
🤳 First acquaintance: Zhuge Ancient Town includes eight major sections such as Wuhou Temple, the main park area, and the Ma Chao Tomb Temple, centered around one water street and one dry street. In fact, for such a man-made ancient town, whether to go or not is still a dilemma. However, as a place to explore the culture of the Han and Three Kingdoms and to understand that period of history, to pay respects at a temple to Zhuge Liang, and to experience the Three Kingdoms in a town, it's still 'better to meet once, even if just for a glance'.
✅ How to visit:
1️⃣ The main park area of Zhuge Ancient Town is based on the layout concept of Zhuge Liang's Eight Trigrams formation, with exhibits such as the Cold Weapons Museum, the Integrity Museum, and the Loyalty Hall. You can completely skip the paid exhibits, as there really isn't much in the way of cultural relics on display.
2️⃣ The more than 20 groups of sculpture buildings in the town recreate historical events such as the Burning of Red Cliffs, Borrowing Arrows with Thatched Boats, the Water Eight Trigrams formation, Capturing Meng Huo seven times, and Borrowing the East Wind ingeniously. There are allusions and mysteries everywhere.
3️⃣ The grand Jin Crown Theater has a newly interpreted performance of 'The Memorial of the Teacher', telling the legendary story of Zhuge Liang's eight years in Hanzhong. The stage beauty and emotional impact are quite good, but the tickets are a bit expensive. If you consider staying in Mian County for one night, you might want to go see it.
4️⃣ The biggest highlight is still the 'Number One Wuhou Temple in the World' - Mian County Wuhou Temple. Enter through the Wuhou Temple Hua Jiang Tower, visit in reverse order, see the ink marks left by famous people and poets over the generations, with numerous steles and plaques, and an ancient cypress tree that is 1700 years old telling the history here. Then exit through the main gate of the Wuhou Temple scenic area to reach the parking lot of Zhuge Ancient Town scenic area.
🎫 Ticket: Free admission, Wuhou Temple 60 yuan, 30 yuan if booked in advance on the Shaanxi Cultural Tourism Benefit Platform.
📍 Address: Zhuge Ancient Town Scenic Area, Wuhou Town, Mian County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Self-driving is recommended, as parking is very convenient.

Ancient Town
The most famous site in Mian County, Hanzhong, is undoubtedly the Tomb of Marquis Wu located at the foot of Dingjun Mountain. Zhuge Liang, the renowned strategist, passed away at Wuzhang Plains, and his coffin was transported back to Hanzhong to be buried at the foot of Dingjun Mountain. Later, Emperor Liu Shan of Shu Han ordered the construction of the Temple of Marquis Wu in Mian County for worship. Now, next to the Temple of Marquis Wu, an ancient-style town has been built—Zhuge Ancient Town, which includes the Prefect's Office, an academy, a street with local snacks, and entertainment venues, as well as attractions built according to 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' such as the Old Longzhong and the Thatched Cottage of the Three Visits, and the Water City that depicts the Battle of Red Cliffs.

Zhuge Ancient Town in Mian County, Hanzhong
Zhuge Ancient Town in Mian County, Hanzhong, is built around the Wuhou Temple, inspired by the life of Zhuge Liang, and has a diversified architectural style. It cleverly mixes the residential architectural elements characteristic of different regions such as Shandong, Hubei, Sichuan, Anhui, Yunnan, Shaanxi, and the official architectural elements of the Han Dynasty. The park shows the life trajectory of Zhuge Liang's birthplace, studying in Nanyang, strategizing in Longzhong, fighting in Chibi, governing Shu, conquering Meng Huo in the south, six outings in Qishan, and the Northern Expedition in the Central Plains, and finally bowing to exhaustion and dying in Wuzhangyuan.
