Zhongshan Park is the earliest park in Ningbo, built in 1927 on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of Mr. Sun's death. Like the "Zhongshan Park" in other cities in China, the atmosphere of this Zhongshan Park in Ningbo is very leisurely. The green trees shade the quaint pavilions, and there are small streams that meander through. In autumn, the ginkgo trees in the park shine golden in the sun, which is unique. A must-see attraction in the park is the monument of the testament of the great man in the Jiuqu Cloister, which is the work of Sha Menghai, a Chinese calligraphy master, when he was young. This stele was demolished as the "Four Olds", and its whereabouts were unknown for a time. It was not until the bonsai gallery was built in Zhongshan Park in 1980 that this precious stele was accidentally discovered in the flower room. Wandering around in the park, you can always meet groups of local elderly people playing chess, cards, or singing Yue opera leisurely under the porch, full of life.
