[2025 Zibo Stay] Travel Guide for Zhiweizhai Wenchang College (Updated Apr)

I never expected to find such a gem of a hotel by the beautiful Wenchang Lake. It's absolutely stunning, filled with a scholarly atmosphere, and offers breathtaking lakeside views. 🌳I'm totally captivated by this Guofeng courtyard and its bookish ambiance! This academy-style hotel in Wenchang feels like stepping into the poetic world of Ming and Qing Dynasty scholars. 🌱The hotel features classic southern ancient architecture with white walls, black tiles, and elegant upturned eaves. Each room is named after a famous scholar, offering an immersive cultural experience. The rooms are filled with the fragrance of wood and feature tasteful, evocative furnishings. 🌱The courtyard also houses a tea room🍵 and a scripture-copying corner. Waking up to the sound of morning bells and evening drums, and seeing lanterns🏮 hanging high at night, brings a sense of tranquility that cleanses the soul. 🌱The restaurant service is also excellent. I highly recommend bringing the whole family. Parents and children alike had a wonderful time. The hotel even thoughtfully provided water and fruit for our departure.

This is my several visit to Zibo. It is more than an hour's drive from Jinan, which is convenient and there are surprises every time I come. This surprise was given by Tangzhuang Hotel City Hot Spring. 1. Went to see the lanterns at Yudai Lake. The park area is not too large and it took less than an hour to finish the tour, but the quality of the lanterns was pretty good. 2. Tangzhuang Hotel (Zhongrun Avenue Branch) Zibo Tangzhuang Hotel (Zhongrun Avenue Branch) Very pleasantly surprised, the room area is large, the breakfast is also good. The biggest surprise is that the bath is so comfortable, especially the scrubbing, which is cheap and scrubs well! Great value! In addition to the bathing area, there is also a swimming pool, outdoor bathing area and children's play area. In addition, the rest area is decorated with bookshelves and a mirror-like ceiling, making it another Zhongshuge. The resting area has tents, space capsules, tatami mats, sofas, and all are very clean. It's really worthwhile and an excellent experience. 3. I also visited Zhongshuge (Zibo branch). Although it was winter and the weather was not very good, there were still many people there. I bought a book and drank coffee, it was pretty good. 4. I had three meals, one barbecue, which was okay; one at Juyouzhai, which was average; and one at Wenchang Academy, which was delivered, which was very good (more expensive than the other two). 5. On the second night, we stayed at Wenchang Academy Zhiweizhai Wenchang Academy Hotel by Wenchang Lake. The Chinese-style courtyard and rooms, service and room quality were all online. Wenchang Lake is very beautiful, it will be more fun in spring. Zibo is really a treasure city. I will come again next time.

Some people like the small bridges and flowing water in the south of the Yangtze River, but for me, I prefer the unique charm of the new Chinese-style architecture. In this poetic scenery, it seems that I can hear the memories of thousands of years ago. This time in Zibo, I wanted to get away from the city's hustle and bustle on the weekend, to take a break for myself. The choice of this Zhiweizhai·Wenchang Academy Hotel allowed me to enjoy a free time. The design of the private courtyard, the four words of Wenchang Academy are quietly written on the plaque, but just looking at them seems to be in the loud reading. The courtyard is full of grey tiles and red bricks, the ancient wooden eaves and various green plants, without having to go far, you can get a pure land in the city center, enjoying the quiet and freedom of half a day's leisure. The room is also very comfortable to live in, antique, with a unique charm, drinking tea and reading books. If you come with friends, you can also chat, it's very cozy! It's the ideal vacation life~
