[2025 Yantai Attraction] Travel Guide for Zhifu Island (Updated May)

Zhifu Island or North Island, is a small island with historical significance in Shandong Province, China. You can get there by bus or a taxi but me and my fiends decided to rent a boat 🚤 to get there. At first it was really nice but then we realized that it just made our journey a little bit more difficult 😄 As we had to go through a cargo port and obviously you can’t just do that ( I think we just got lucky that no one asked any questions and just let as get out of the port) 😁 After we got out we had to walk up the hill and then go down to the beach which is located on the other side of the island. It took as about 40 minutes of walking to get to the beach. We were all very tired while climbing to the top of the hill but we forgot about tiredness once we saw that beautiful view from the top. Zhifu Island is located in the northern part of Yantai City, Shandong Province. It's China's largest land-connected island with an area of approximately 10 square kilometers. Surrounded by sea on three sides and connected to the mainland on one side, it creates a unique landscape of "mountains on an island, islands within mountains." The island still preserves its pristine natural scenery and fishing village charm, making it the top choice for Yantai residents escaping the city noise on weekends. ✅Recommended Route 👣East Entrance Watchtower Rock - Real-life Zelda - Pebble Beach - Long Beak Beach 1️⃣Watchtower Rock Panoramic views where you can overlook the beach and the watchtower rock from the cliff. 2️⃣Secluded Cliff Sea (Real-life Zelda) Feels like stepping into The Legend of Zelda. 3️⃣Pebble Beach The place where Cao Cao "gazed at the sea from Jieshi." Perfect for relaxing or beachcombing, with many small crabs and sea snails. 4️⃣Sea Erosion Cave A triangular seaside cave with no queues for photos. Requires an ultra-wide-angle lens or iPhone 0.5x wide-angle for best shots. 5️⃣Long Beak Beach Pass through the most beautiful coastal road with small fishing boats docked by the shore. 6️⃣Broken Sea Cliff Yantai's "End of the Earth" (a play on "cliff" and "end"), stunning when captured by drone. ⚠️Pebble Beach has many sharp stones, be careful and watch out for cuts. ✳️For the east entrance direction, there are several fire checkpoints along the way. Entry is restricted during spring fire prevention season but allowed after June.

Yantai, an underrated coastal city! Yantai in winter is simply not too romantic. Seagulls, small islands, sunsets, sea breeze, every element is intoxicating. The orange European-style buildings complement the blue sea, making people intoxicated. 3. Lonely whale: A huge whale stranded on the beach, attracting countless people to check in. 4. Flower Stone: Standing on the top of the mountain, waiting for the blues moment when the lights come on, the rows of buildings in the distance make people feel like they are in Hong Kong. 5. Yangma Island: This is known as the alternative version of the Maldives. On a sunny day, the sea water shows a blue-green gradient color, which is incredibly beautiful. | to avoid the crowds. The second stop of the National Day self-driving trip to Shandong! Zhifu Island, Yantai! It’s so beautiful! I went there in the morning, and the sea level was still unclear. There are basically no people, and the cave is also very good for taking pictures! It can be said that it is a short-term contract for a sea view! 🎶We visited two places at the east entrance of Zhifu Island! Mainly to see the scenery and caves on the cliff! 1⃣Beidaqiao (Figure 1-12) 2⃣ Soft pebble beach (Pictures 13 and 14) 1⃣📍First navigate to Beidaqiao. When you are almost there, there will be a fork in the road: a cement road on the uphill right and a dirt road on the downhill left. We went down the dirt road and saw an open space. We parked the car and walked down. We walked a little forward and saw a white container on the right. That is the cliff! (There is also a wind vent on the right uphill to the UK where you can see the cliff, but it is not easy to park so we turned back) ⚠️It is still a bit dangerous to go down to the beach, as shown in Figures 10-12. Do it according to your ability and be sure to pay attention to safety! 2⃣Walk along Zhifu Island East Road. When you get to the end, you will see a stone sign that says "Smooth Sailing". A small slope next to it leads to the beach. The beach is all pebbles, with an abandoned boat and a sofa, and not many people! You can have a little fun!
