A photo that amazes me
📍Detailed address:
No. 24 Wuta Temple Village, Haidian District - Zhenjue Temple
✅A hidden gem in the second ring road, Zhenjue Temple, also known as Wuta Temple.
✅Built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, the same period as the Forbidden City. The five Vajra towers were built in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty (1473).
🌟It is said that this was the resting place of an Indian monk in the early years, and the Vajra Throne Tower is a pagoda in the form of the Indian Buddha Gaya Monastery (a memorial pagoda built at the Gaya Mountain Temple where Sakyamuni attained enlightenment).
👍Later, Emperor Qianlong rebuilt the Wuta Temple twice for his mother's birthday, and changed its name to Dazhengjue Temple to avoid the name of Emperor Yongzheng.
✅Today, this typical Southeast Asian-style temple has become the Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum. In the golden autumn, the 600-year-old ginkgo makes Wuta Temple a beautiful place to visit.
