Getting there - You can hire a taxi but I got there on foot but it is a long walk.
Highlights -
1. Zaisan Memorial
Highlights - The memorial is located in a hill overlooking Ulaanbaatar. This is built as a tribute to Soviet soldiers who fought alongside Mongolians during World War II. The memorial has a large circular mural depicting scenes of friendship between the Soviet Union and Mongolia.
2. Zaisan Hill
Highlights - Zaisan hill offers panoramic views of the city. At the top is Zaisan Memorial. Climb up the steps to the top and be rewarded with panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscape like the Tuul river.
3. Zaisan Mall

The nights in Ulaanbaatar are truly beautiful.
Transportation from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar is very convenient, taking only about 2 hours. The locals mostly travel by hailing taxis. If you want to travel conveniently, it is recommended to use the hotel's taxi service. On busy roads, shared scooters are also a good choice.
⏳Recommended attractions: First, you can go to the Zaisan Memorial, climb to the highest point of Ulaanbaatar, and overlook the city's night view; second, it is recommended to go to Terelj National Park, which has magnificent scenery and is a must-visit place; the Genghis Khan Statue Museum and Gandan Monastery are also worth visiting.
📝Tips: Be sure to pay attention to sun protection during your trip, and try the local Mongolian and Korean cuisine. There are many Korean convenience stores locally, which can meet different taste needs.

【Warmth and Wind in Ulaanbaatar】
In Ulaanbaatar, a seemingly unfamiliar city, we learned the most authentic way to "hail a taxi" - just raise your hand. During an accidental wave, we met a passionate Mongolian friend, Erka. He not only became our guide, but also let us experience the authentic Mongolian customs. We enjoyed the food and the unique charm of Mongolian KTV. At that moment, language was no longer a barrier. The melody of "Night in Ulaanbaatar" sounded, as if we had traveled through time and space, and felt the purest emotional connection between people. 🌍
🛤️ Happy Road Strategy 🛣️
1️⃣ Zaisan Memorial: Stand on the heights and take in the whole of Ulaanbaatar.
2️⃣ Genghis Khan Square: Feel the heaviness of history and the interweaving of modern life.
3️⃣ Genghis Khan Museum: Explore the glory and mystery of the Mongol Empire.
4️⃣ Mongolian State Department Store: Pick up some special little gifts!
5️⃣ Gandan Monastery: Listen to the Buddha's voice and cleanse your soul.
6️⃣ Bogd Khan Winter Palace: Walk into the corridor of history and taste the luxury of the royal family of the past.
📚 Language Tips
The English proficiency rate here is not high, but smiles and simple gestures can solve most problems. Remember to bring your translation software, it will be your best travel companion!
🚗 Traffic Guide
In Ulaanbaatar, taxis are not common, but you just need to wave your hand bravely, and there will be kind drivers to take you through the streets and alleys of this city.

Day and night in Ulaanbaatar~.
🇲🇳Day and night in Ulaanbaatar | Happy road trip guide || Winter in Ulaanbaatar with temperatures close to zero
Because there are no taxis in the city🚕
We hailed a taxi like a local
Then we met the super enthusiastic local Mongolian Erka
He took us on a city drive for a whole day
Although there were some communication problems due to language barriers
But in the end we had
A wonderful experience of eating Mongolian food and singing Mongolian KTV
Always moved to tears by the sincerity and kindness between people
Just like the clip in "The World" mentioned at the beginning
The Russian girl teaches Zhao Xiaotao to sing
"The Night of Ulaanbaatar"
Country and language are not boundaries~
🇲🇳Citywalk guide
🩵Check-in points:
The city of Ulaanbaatar is not big, you can visit it in one day
1️⃣Zaisan Memorial (overlooking the city)
2️⃣ Genghis Khan Square
3️⃣ Genghis Khan Museum
4️⃣ Mongolian State Department Store
5️⃣ Gandan Monastery
6️⃣ Bogd Khan Winter Palace
📕Language:
Most locals don't speak English very well~ Ulaanbaatar is okay, hotels and some restaurants can basically communicate in English, but places like Zamyn-Uud basically rely on gestures and translation software, Google Translate is enough.
🚗Transportation:
This is the most bizarre point I encountered. There are very few cars with taxi signs in the city. When I asked the locals how to take a taxi, they replied that they could just wave their hands on the road, and the cars willing to take you would stop. Later, I followed the locals and waved my hands on the road to get a taxi. I also met a super nice Mongolian guy who took us to many places.

✨️Zaisan Victory Monument✨️ Zaisan Memorial is an observation tower built to commemorate the victory in World War II on a hill 3km south of Chinggis Khan Square. It is Zaisan Hill. The monument was built in 1971. At the entrance to the hill, it is written, "The memory of Soviet history is eternal like the sun in the sky, and sacred like the fire that burns the earth." A symbol of Mongolia-Soviet friendship is engraved on the square at the top. It is impressive to see soldiers from both armies stepping on the flags of the Japanese and Nazis. From the top, you can see the city of Ulaanbaatar well.
