I went to a restaurant that is said to be the birthplace of Xiaolongbao. I visited before 6pm and there was no wait time. The restaurant is quite spacious, so the turnover rate seems to be good. The Xiaolongbao with thin skin and plenty of meat juice are exquisite! Apparently it is the first place in Shanghai to be certified as a non-material cultural heritage! ? Cant be denied, Shanghai has the most beautiful CNY decor!!!! Definitely a must visit for tourist! Place is filled with so much historical buildings. Very spot is a photo spot! Its so grand and majestic. Tons of shops in each alleyway. The deco is so nicely done up too, with lanterns rabbit flowers and dragons. Alot of food options too, must try the huge soup dumpling for the experience. The entire Yuyuan Mall is built around the Old City God Temple and the Ming-Qing era garden architecture of "Yuyuan," offering a rich and authentic Chinese cultural experience. It is one of the must-visit attractions for tourists in Shanghai. Yuyuan is filled with numerous alleys lined with shops on both sides. These stores mainly sell three types of goods: food, souvenirs, and dining options. The central area of Yuyuan is the famous Nine-Bend Bridge, which is often crowded with visitors. The bridge becomes even more enchanting at night when illuminated, making the nighttime view of Yuyuan particularly stunning.

Yuyuan Garden is often referred to as the most traditional Chinese spot in Shanghai. It includes attractions like Yuyuan Garden itself, the Nine-Bend Bridge, the Old City God Temple, and Fangbang Middle Road Old Street, along with a variety of Shanghai delicacies. Shen Dacheng: Famous for its green rice balls, the outer layer is made from mugwort. I tried a red bean paste green rice ball and a butterfly pastry. The green rice ball had a texture where the filling and the skin felt separate, which I didn’t quite enjoy. The red bean paste wasn’t overly sweet, and the skin had just the right amount of chewiness. The butterfly pastry, on the other hand, was surprisingly light in flavor, not what I had expected. Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant: Ordered a crab roe soup dumpling and a fresh meat mooncake. Using a straw to sip the soup from the dumpling was quite a unique experience. Dahuchun: The outer layer was a bit thick, but the bottom was perfectly pan-fried, with a slight sweetness to the taste. It felt more like eating a bun. Shanghai Old Yogurt: Bought from a random shop. I expected it to taste like yogurt drink, but it was closer to a thicker yogurt. Personally, I found it quite enjoyable. Hanchun Teahouse: Tried the loquat and pear soup, ordered it unsweetened. It truly wasn’t sweet, but the large half pear inside was naturally sweet when eaten. Overall, I liked it quite a lot.

It was lit up at night and was a very beautiful spot.

There is a chocolate museum, and it smells so good inside♪ The sculptures made of chocolate were in the shape of real animals. The famous paintings were also made of chocolate, which was amazing. There are various shops in Yuyuan Garden, and they are relatively cheap. There is also the famous and most popular chagee. It is a mixture of jasmine and green tea, and the staff recommended it. If you ask the staff, they will give you a paper bag to take it home. Some stores sell tea leaves. The chagee at the airport sells mug bottles, but does not sell tea leaves. Souvenirs are expensive at the airport, so I recommend buying hand cream and miscellaneous goods here!
