Yu Mountain Park, the origin of Guilin's profound history |
|. Seeking traces of Emperor Yu, tracing thousands of years of civilization. More than 4,000 years ago, one of the ancestors of Chinese civilization, Emperor Yu, came here during his southern tour. The Qin people built a temple to commemorate him, which has been continued to this day and has a history of more than 2,000 years.
📍The gardening technique of Yu Mountain Park is novel, adopting a combination of Chinese and Western garden styles. Entering from the west gate, it is a Western-style corridor, with cascading springs and colorful scenes, giving people a refreshing feeling. Going through it, there is a huge natural stone mountain screen, inside the cave there are Guilin stone carvings, and a Guanyin statue carved on the cliff more than 1,400 years ago, which is the earliest and most complete statue known in Guilin. The morning bell of the Fortune Tower, climb the tower to see the wonders. The Temple of Emperor Yu near the south gate was built in the Qin Dynasty and flourished in the Tang and Song Dynasties.

🎫: Free for locals, the online ticket price is 36 yuan, and it's 15 yuan per person at the ticket office. The park is not very attractive, but it's a good place to check in for the first time in Guilin.
🚕: Bus No. 1, 18, 30, K99, 100, 217, 301 can reach the park gate (get off at the North Pole Square Station)
