Yufuin Kamameshi Heart
We found a place to have lunch in Yufuin, and Waffle and Mom chose "Yufuin Kamameishin". Waffles and Mom patronized the Kinrin Lake main store. It was unknown whether the branch near the station was closed that day, so the main store was particularly crowded with diners. Waffles and Mom waited in line for 45 minutes before they were seated.
When you go to Yufuin Kamameshi, you must try Kamameshi. There are three main types of rice: Bungo beef, local chicken, and eel.
The kamameshi is made to order in about 15 minutes, and you can enjoy the rich appetizers while waiting.
Waffles ordered the local chicken pot rice (2,272 yen/about HK$165). He ate the first bowl directly, which was authentic. In addition to the chicken, there were also chicken liver and chicken kidney.
My mother ordered the Unagi rice bowl (2,454 yen/about HK$175), which looked good.
When eating the second bowl of rice, you can add grapefruit pepper and side dishes.
When there was almost only burnt rice left in the clay pot, I added the soup in the pot. The burnt rice and soup were very delicious. I was so busy eating the waffles that I forgot to take a photo.
