A Hidden Gem for Springtime Strolls in Wuxi
#cherryblossom25
Cherry Blossom Park—Youhao Garden near Taihu Square is now blooming and offers a peaceful, free alternative for cherry blossom viewing! .
Youhao Garden is located south of Taihu Square, along the eastern bank of the Grand Canal. It was built in 1990 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Wuxi and Sagamihara, Japan, which was established in 1985. Designed by Li Zheng, a renowned garden artist from the Jiangnan region, the garden was completed in 1992.
The garden showcases a Japanese flat-style courtyard, complete with a delicate layout, traditional pagoda, and serene landscaping that blends Japanese aesthetics with Suzhou-style elegance.
Right next to it lies the Youhao Cherry Blossom Forest, an open-access park filled with Somei Yoshino cherry trees.
🚇 Transportation:
- Metro Line 1 to Qingmingqiao Station
- Bus Route 67 to Taihu Square (Qingnian Road)

Hey friends, don't rush off after visiting the Wuxi Museum! The plum blossoms and camellias next door at Youyi Garden are blooming beautifully. It's a hidden gem perfect for photos, so come check it out!
📍Plum Blossom Viewing Spots

📸Best Photo Spots
🌺Slender plum blossoms + half-moon gate at the entrance of Youyi Garden: The elegant half-moon gate paired with the delicate plum branches creates a strong traditional Chinese aesthetic. Standing in front of the gate, any photo you take will have a blockbuster feel.
🌸Plum trees beside the Yantu Coffee building: The modern architecture contrasts with the blooming plum blossoms, creating an artistic atmosphere.
🌷Pink camellias and wintersweet: Their vibrant colors add dynamic vitality to your photos.
🚗Suggested Itinerary
Exit from Exit 5 of Qingming Bridge Station on Metro Line 1 and walk about 700 meters to reach the Wuxi Museum.
Head to the second floor of the central area for an immersive exhibition experience and feel the unique charm of history and culture.
Move to the Xiaofenlu Xiaoqinglu cultural and creative store on the first floor to choose your favorite cultural and creative products.
Walk out of the museum and stroll to Youyi Garden to enjoy the plum blossoms and take photos.
After your visit, you can choose to return or head to Maoye Tiandi to reward yourself with delicious food.
✅Important Notes
✅It's recommended to wear light-colored, traditional Chinese-style clothing, such as a white Hanfu or a light blue cheongsam, which complements the plum blossoms and Chinese architecture perfectly for stunning photos.
✅Please protect the flowers, plants, and trees. Do not pick the flowers. Appreciate the plum blossoms responsibly and preserve the beautiful scenery.
✅The morning light is soft and provides the best lighting for photos. It is recommended to go early to enjoy the tranquil plum blossom viewing experience.

Gather at Wuxi Sino-Japanese Friendship Park to see cherry blossoms without having to crowd Yuantouzhu
Locals can't squeeze into Yuantouzhu
Then we can go somewhere else to see the cherry blossoms.

Small park with good environment and beautiful scenery
You can also enjoy cherry blossoms. There is also a Yantu Cafe where you can drink coffee.
A very good niche treasure place recommended to everyone
But I don't know if it was affected by the strong wind last night.
The cherry blossoms don't seem to be very dense, but there are fewer people.
You can still take great photos if you find the right angle~

This is not Japan, it's Wuxi, China
❤️Recommended reason:
I wanted to see the Wuxi night view last night, so I happily went there.
As a result, because I was delayed in Xiaolou Lane, it was already closed when I arrived.
But the Chaihu Tower under the night sky and the cherry blossom forest next to it deeply shocked me.
So I decided to get up early in the morning and go there again before catching the high-speed train.
It's really, really beautiful. It's a completely different style from the Turtle Head Isle.
Youhaoyuan Garden is a courtyard that combines Chinese and Japanese styles, quiet with few people and beautiful scenery.
Next to Youhaoyuan Garden is a large green field like the one at the University of Washington, with a cherry blossom forest that has mostly Somei Yoshino cherry trees, which are in full bloom.
I strongly recommend this niche spot for cherry blossom viewing in Wuxi. It's not only free but also very conveniently located in the city center~
