I originally just wanted to find an accommodation that was close to the airport and convenient, but I didn’t expect that this Enford Hotel would surprise me a bit. It takes less than 15 minutes by taxi from Cheongju Airport to the hotel, which is a lifesaver for me who just got off the plane and dragged my luggage. The hotel's exterior and public spaces feel like they were recently renovated, and are clean and modern, especially the lobby which is bright and textured. The staff was very friendly during check-in. We had no problem communicating in English. They also took the initiative to help us adjust the check-in time to an early one (originally scheduled for 3pm, but we were allowed into the room at 12pm), which was a real plus! The room was generally comfortable, but there were a few minor drawbacks: the air conditioning didn't seem to be very effective, with the temperature in the room reaching 30 degrees at night. Fortunately, it improved after I asked the front desk to deal with it; the bathroom was newly renovated, but the smell was a bit pungent, which might be a problem with the detergent or ventilation. But I still give it a good score for overall cleanliness. The facilities nearby are superb. Downstairs is the Homeplus hypermarket, and supermarket lovers will go crazy for it. There are also many cafes, breakfast shops, 24-hour convenience stores, and even nightclubs across the street and in the alleys, so you can find everything you need for a good lifestyle. If you like to eat local food like me and don't want to go too far, this place is really suitable The best part is that there is a bus stop right at the door, which takes you directly to the city center business district, so you don’t have to worry about transportation at all. As many people living in Cheongju may already know, it's the Gwanjeong-ri ginkgo tree in front of Baekseokjeong. Now, most of the ginkgo trees in Cheongju have started to rain, but the Gwanjeong-ri ginkgo tree is so big that it'll be nice to see it for a while, and the ginkgo trees on the way here are so pretty that it'll be great for a light drive. I first wanted to try it out when I saw the Cheongju steam room coffee shop cafe mokgan! It’s so much fun to put your food in a small wooden basin, then go to an authentic sauna and enjoy it anywhere you like. Originally this was a sauna. The faucets and shower heads are still there, and you can enter the bath to enjoy your meals. Towels are even provided on site, and the original oven has been converted into a private room. The whole atmosphere is perfect. It must have taken me an hour to take pictures here hahahaha When ordering, I nervously told the boss that I wanted to order eggs, because I felt that the photo would look good only with coffee and eggs in the small wooden barrel. Unexpectedly, the boss said that eggs would be included when ordering drinks, hahahaha, and he also gave me popcorn 🍿 The whole set looks super good in the photo❤️The location is on Cheng'an Street, next to tag one coffee shop.
