[2025 Yingtan Attraction] Travel Guide for Yingtan Museum (Updated Mar)

After three years, I came to Yingtan again and learned that the new Yingtan Museum has been open for more than a year, so I went to have a look. Sure enough, compared with the old museum, the new museum has a much grander appearance, which should be inspired by the design concept of "round sky and square earth" of the Shanghai Museum. However, after visiting the museum, I was generally disappointed. I thought the new museum would display more quality cultural relics, but the content was still not impressive. There are not many changes in the exhibits compared with the past, only a few more replicas. Apart from Longhu Mountain and Taoism, there is not much culture that can be remembered, and there are not enough cultural relics to support it. So if you want to see cultural relics and historical sites in Yingtan, just go straight to Longhu Mountain.

🌸Longhu Mountain: A World Natural Heritage site, World Geopark, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction, it is the top-ranked tourist spot in Yingtan City. Although there are many visitors, compared to other places like Lushan, Wugong Mountain, and Huangshan, it is considered less crowded. 🌸Shangqing Ancient Town Part of the Longhu Mountain scenic area, so no separate admission is charged. Known as 'China's number one Taoist town', it has many attractions, such as the Celestial Master's Mansion, Changqing Square, and nearby, one of the four great academies of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Xiangshan Academy, as well as the Taiqing Palace, Dongyue Palace, and more. 🌸Yingtan Museum A national second-level museum, it doesn't have a large number of exhibits, but those interested in Taoist culture might enjoy a visit. 🌸Zhang's Beef Bone Noodles The portion of beef bone is particularly generous, super delicious, stewed until very tender, the meat falls right off the bone, a must-try restaurant! The rice noodles here are not particularly chewy, which seems to be the style in Yingtan. There was already a long queue when I went, definitely worth the wait. 🌸La Shedede Noodle Shop Ordered takeout directly, a very large bowl, with plenty of beef, and only cost a dozen or so yuan, what more could you want. It's a bit spicy, but compared to this, I feel the beef bone noodles taste even better. 🌸Chunhui Main Store This restaurant specializes in Jiangxi stir-fry dishes, ordered taro stir-fried with beef + douban fish, the portions are super large and we couldn't finish it all. The douban fish is very flavorful, and surprisingly it has a sweet taste, which suits my Suzhou palate quite well, a sweet and spicy type.

'When the elixir was complete, dragons and tigers appeared, and the mountain was thus named.'
