An amazing photo stop with gorgeous scenery🤩
One of the best destinations in Northern Taiwan, and is located along a cape stretching out from the town of Wanli - The Yehliu Geopark is well-known for its strange-looking rocks, yet we found another pleasant and green spot here.🌳🍀
Because it is part of Datun Mountain, which runs out to the sea, you can get a taste of nature 🌿 and the sea 🌊 by walking more inside and climbing the stone stairs.

So, what would make you glow? 🤩
When life gets tough, Taipei is my 911. It’s the quickest and cheapest escape for me from Seoul. If your journey brings you to Taipei, Shangrila’s sky lounge has the best view of Taipei 101. Be there before 5 to get the best seat! The city has numerous Michelin restaurants to try near Ximending area. Leave comments for the ultra-best kept Michelins! Of course, you can’t possibly leave Taipei without a sip of their famous milk tea! It’s everywhere but my fave is Xing
Fu Tang for the extra extra bubbles 😍

a geopark an hour away from taipei 🏞️🌿🌴
I went to Taipei earlier this summer and didn’t want to just stay within Taipei City, so I decided to hire a driver to drive us around the outskirts of Taipei, and Yehliu Geopark was the first stop.
When I went, it was really hot and the sun was blazing, definitely bring water and apply SPF.
The main attraction is the Queen’s Head 女王头, but since there was a queue of people trying to take picture with it, we just snapped a quick shot (the cover picture). We were told by the driver that since the Queens Head is a natural phenomenon along the coastline, the rock connecting the Queen’s Head and Body is thinning out and it will probably collapse within the next couple of years. So definitely pay a visit while you still can!!

Walk unrushed and enjoy the scenery❤️
The Yeliu Geopark in the offshore, in addition to the weathered rocks of different shapes, the sea breeze is really comfortable, and the feeling of fusion with nature is really good. It is famous for the different shapes of rocks and well known of the “Queen’s Head”. It’s wide and a nice place to visit🩷 You can enjoy sightseeing and gift sopping. A place to remember on its uniqueness.

Natural Geological Landscape in Taiwan!
Yehliu Geological Park is truly one of the most beautiful attractions in Taiwan and one of the most famous eroded rock formations in the world emerged over a million of years. Tourists flock to this geopark and the rock formations get quite crowded.
The golden rock formations are of all shapes and sizes. Many formations have been given names representing their shapes, such as the “Mushroom Rocks”, “Sea Candles”, and “Fairy Shoe”. The most iconic rock is the “Queen's Head”.
Taking a short walk beyond the geopark brings you to the top of a cliff, offering an outstanding 360 degree view of the North Coast and Pacific Ocean, as well as stunning sunset awaits you. In park, there is a statue of Lin Tien Jane, honoring the brave actions of the man who perished trying to save a student from drowning.

The Queen’s Head in Taiwan
These rock formations by the sea is a must visit when you come to Taiwain. I have booked a one full day trip via KLOOK APP and one of the must seen sites in Taiwan is included in this trip. You get a tour guide and a small group in a private van. Not the extremely crowded type.
There are pretty stop overs along the way that will allow you to take photos and enjoy the scenery!

Heading to taiwan soon and planning your trip? Don't forget to head to Yehliugeopark located at 207, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Wanli District, 港東路167-1號. if you are driving, this is a 40mins drive from the centre of Taipei City.
This is a tourists attraction where it requires an entrance ticket, you can purchase this at the entrance so not to worry. There is 2 entrances here but the ticket counter is only located on the west side of the park.
Do visit this place before more erosion takes place, and you won't be able to see such beautiful formation anymore. The main attraction here is the Queen Elizabeth resemblances located right in the centre of the park. Do also cater about 40-45mins here as the park is quite big.

One of Taiwan’s most popular destination in the Northern part is Yehliu Geopark. It is popular for tourists around the world. You can see many beautiful and strange rock formations and a very picturesque view. Perhaps it is the most famous geological park in Taiwan.
Though the travel time for me takes quite long but it is always worth it every time I come here. This was my second time .☺️ Definitely recommended. 👍

#newyearadventure #yehliugeopark #yehliu #rockformation #tourists #attractions #taiwan #keelung
Yehliu Geopark is a popular tourists attraction for many due to thebmany rock formations found thruout the entire park. You will be able to find the most popular queen's head formation where it looks like a queen's head, and at times there will be a long queue for photo taking.
Also, this park has many other rock formation, and due to the wind and seawater this soft limestone erodes and forms these shapes. If you are lucky you be also able to spot some amazing birds here too!
For those who drive, there is a huge parking lot around the area where you can park for a small fee. Also, the entrance to Yehliu Park is chargeable and you can buy it onsite. It will costs you 200TWD per person, abit expensive but its still good to go as you will not be able to find these rock formations else where.

Yehliu Park was fascinating, which is home to interesting geological formations.
The rock formations have been shaped through the centuries by wind and water erosion. The most popular formation, which attracts a long line of queue for photo taking, is the Queen’s head. This formation is "suffering" from a thinning neck from erosion and may soon topple. So, do visit before it happens!

Be awed by Queen's head
Yehliu Geopark is one of the attractions that you must visit in Taiwan. It is famous for the Queen's head. You need to queue up and there is somebody manning the queue! The staff also helps to prevent people from getting too close. That is how precious this rock formation is.
There are also other rock formations so prepare to spend 1 to 2 hours here if you wish to take photos with all of them.
If looking at rocks is not your cup of tea, then try the ocean view here. The waves are big as it is very windy here.
If you come in summer, it can be quite warm so take refuge at a small shop that sells cold beverages and dessert.

Taiwan Yehliu Geopark
Visited this place in 2017 and it was stunning. The natural rocks and in various shapes are formed naturally, from the waves crashing into the rocks and all.
Went around June period so it was summer period in Taiwan & it was scorching hot. Despite the hot weather however, everything still looks amazing. The sunlight allowed us to capture everything beautifully & i’d say it’s a once a in lifetime experience to visit.
There’s other attraction nearby as well & i went to this place as part of a day trip to jiufen & shifen which i will share in the next post. The trip was booked through klook so feel free to use my code for $5 off!

Yehliu Geopark
Yehliu Geopark is located just one hour away from Taipei by car. This place is a wonder of nature. How possible this can be done by nature itself. But you also have to on your imagination. Once I see “Princes Head” and “Dragon” it's taken me a lot of time to imagine it. By the way, you have to pay for entrance, for students is only 40 NTD. If you going on a sunny day, please bring sunblock.

Mushroom Jun's Asian travel
Taiwan, Yehliu
Queen's head is a business card of Taiwan's tourism industry. I heard it very early, but I have come to Taipei three times but have not vacated it. time. This is the most representative topography of Yehliu - the scorpion stone, which is the stone that has been eroded by the seawater for hundreds of thousands of years.
Into the wild willow, the sacred stone is tens of millions, but there is a single queen's head, standing on the swan neck and elegantly standing there. The name of the person must be very poetic, in order to get along with such a graceful name on these rocks.
The head of the Queen, who has a history of four thousand years, is naturally getting faster and faster. The official is expected to have 10-20 years, and the neck of the Queen's head will be broken due to weathering. In the event of a major earthquake, the time of strong wind breaking is even more unknown.
There are still many places like this in the world. If you dont pay attention to it, the scenery of wait and see in our mouth may suddenly disappear. Although travel does not seek speed, there should be a "decision" to see the scenery. If you want to go as early as possible, you will not leave regrets.
Taiwan is surrounded by the sea, and the beautiful coastal landscape presents different views depending on the geographical location. Yeliu Geopark, located in Wanli Township, Taipei County, is a famous geological park in northern Taiwan.
Yehliu Geopark is located on the north coast of Taipei County. Soon after entering the gate of the park, a strange landscape is presented to the tourists. Walk between the mushroom stones. It is like being in a fantasy stone forest. Despite the scorching sun, mainland tourists are still interested. In addition to mushroom stone, there are many kinds of weathered fossils and caves in various forms. They are also gradually formed through the interaction of millions of years of erosion and weathering.
For the sake of this "living life" from being destroyed, Yehliu Geopark will control the number of tourists to around 5,000 people per day, and at the peak of the tourists, it will adopt a diversion route and begin to study more scientific protection measures. Hope to let the child
On New Year's Day, Ye Liu will blow the sea breeze of Taipei. Yeliu Geopark is the corner of the Dagu Mountain. The wild willow rock is the main attraction here. It is one of the wonders of the world. The effects of wave erosion, rock weathering, sea-land relative motion, crustal movement and other geological processes generate rare terrain and geological landscapes, which are of great value for viewing and research. In addition to the peculiar geology and stone, a wide variety of seabirds that inhabit the sea are also an important sight to watch. Tickets: NT$80 Transportation: Guoguang Passenger Transport 1815 (Taipei-Jinshan Youth Activity Center) can be used at Guoguang Passenger Transport Taipei East Station Building B or the Municipal Government Transfer Station. A shuttle bus takes about 15-20 minutes. Taipei boarding, the one-way fare is 96 HKD, the city government boarding, the one-way fare is 84 HKD, get off at Yehliu Station.
Many New Year's Day people will choose to go to Taiwan for the New Year, and Taipei is the preferred destination. There are many beautiful parks around Taipei, such as Yeliu Geopark, which is located in Wanli District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Yeliu is a large-scale ridge (Dayu Mountain) with a length of about 1,700 meters. Due to the effects of sea erosion and crustal movement, It has created a unique landscape of sea erosion cave ditch, honeycomb stone, candle stone, bean curd stone, braided rock, pot hole, and erosion plate.
opening time
If 101 is a landmark in Taipei, then Ye Liu is a business card from Taiwan. Countless times in the images and albums, I saw the sea, and the reefs were shot on the shore.
Red feet, standing on the rough rocks, the sea breeze comes from the front. Golden rocks, black reefs, brown sand, nature's magical work, after millions of years of polishing, created the magical landscape.
can feel different powers at almost every angle. Some are vigorous and wild, some are soft and enchanting. After all, I did not squeeze into the crowded team and took a famous "Queen's Head". It was the stepping up and the summit of the mountain, harvesting the beauty of the entire coast.
After Zhu Mings one-hour roaming, continue eastward to the best place today: Yehliu Geopark.
Its really a journey before going online to know that there is such a magical place on the north coast of Taiwan. Is it through Saturn? The blossoming rock on the coast stands like a mushroom on the brown-red land.
secretly tells you that the stones here will sing.
Singing best to listen to is the queen's head.
The Queen's Head is a rock-like rock that formed today in the 1960s during the ascent of the earth's crust due to seawater erosion and weathering.
From a certain point of view, it is very similar to the face of Queen Elizabeth's avatar, hence the name. It is not difficult to find the queen's head on the coast. The place where people gather the most is the best angle to take pictures with the queen's head. At first glance, it is really a beautiful, noble and noble queen.
Nature's ingenuity is especially good at carving, the texture of the rock, the wrinkles on the face of the old man, and the head of the wild willow. The essence of
Yehliu Geopark is Yehliu. From the entrance of the park to the end of the strait, it is 1.7km long and the width is only 300m.
In such a small scope, the rock formations are strange and the terrain is changeable, like a natural geological teaching material. The
park is divided into three zones. The first zone is a braided rock (the upper part is a thick spheroidal rock into a honeycomb shape, and the lower part is a thin stone pillar supporting the large head above, especially like a mushroom.), ginger stone (The surface is like the texture of the old ginger root section, the color is gray with yellow), and the stone is composed of stone.
The second district is the center of Yehliu, and the Queen's head is in this area.
The shape is very strange, the park also gives names to the character of the stone, such as fairy shoes, raw stone, diamond, elephant stone, leading stone. The
third zone is located on the other side of the wild willow platform.
The platform side is close to the cliff, the other side is close to the sea, and the water is high. Little egrets can be seen on the nearby sea, socute.
However, half of the year, Yehliu will be under the strong northeast monsoon, and the waves will erode the sun and rain. These loose necked rocks face the fate of broken heads. There is life and death, the ordinary state of the world, what we can do is to hurry and fight the horse to rush to visit the field!
Mid-October, about 17:30, the sun will set in the mountains in the west, and rush to the geological park before the mountain to see the strange sunset.
Continue to take the 711 in front of Yehliu to the harbour of Keelung.
The north coast is completely dark. Today is just the full moon night. The fishing boat headlights on the sea are lit up. The ocean on the hull is like a blue transparent jelly, but it is all darker than ten meters away.
The fishing boat in the night is a firefly on the sea, which attracts the light that envelopes the night and looms on the calm sea.
Next stop: Keelung.
Yehliu Geopark
Yehliu Geopark can be reached by bus from Taipei Main Station, with buses running every half hour. The park is home to many unusually shaped rocks and is located by the sea. The bus stop is quite far from the geopark, about a 15-minute walk. It is a famous tourist attraction in Taiwan, surrounded by many restaurants and cafes. The entrance fee is about 100 Thai Baht. The park is not very large.
