Yaxi Ancient Village: Hakka House around the Millennium
When it comes to Hakka, I will think of the surrounding house, which is the most common and the most preserved in Hakkas. Since I came to the Hakka area, I will definitely see the surrounding house here. So we came to the ancient village of Yaxi, because there is a soil and a stone, two deep surrounding houses.
Yaxi Ancient Village began in the Ming Dynasty, the entire village Chen surname. Because of the beautiful ancient village, the legendary ancient enclosure, the ancient origin of the origin, and the simple Hakka style, in 2016, it was included in the fourth batch of traditional Chinese villages in China's beautiful and livable villages and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Since I am very fond of the ancient village attractions, Yaxi Ancient Village has become one of my favorite places in Quannan.
The visual experience at the entrance to the scenic spot is verdant, and the feeling in the ancient village is warm. Because the buildings in the ancient village of Yaxi are basically khaki, they have a feeling of returning to the original. Walked around for a while in the ancient village, we unwittingly came to one of the best spots of Yaxi, that is, the surrounding house that we are very much looking forward to. There are two surrounding houses in Yaxi Ancient Village worth seeing. One is the Fuxingwei in Tuwei and the Yafengwei in Shiwei.
Yaxi Tuwei, the famous "Fuxingwei", was built in the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty (1856) and has a history of more than 160 years. The earthen enclosure is in the shape of a rectangular "mouth". It is made of adobe bricks and has three floors and seventeen rooms on each floor.
Shiwei name "Yafengwei" was built in the Qing Dynasty (1885). Although it is younger than Fuxingwei, it is also a century-old ancient house. Yafengwei's empty brick cannons, granite gates, fire-proof tapping devices, and exquisite woodcarving stone carvings are unique in the Weinan enclosure.
Actually, Yaxi Village lived in Jinling in ancient times. Due to the war in Jinling, the river was selected along the river, which is today's Yaxi Building, and then settled here.
