Traveling without a car and with a mother who has foot pain. If this is your first time visiting Osaka or you plan to travel alone, I believe this post will be very useful for you. ———————————————————————————— I recommend buying the 'New Osaka Amazing Pass' online in advance, as it allows unlimited rides on the subway within Osaka for 2 days and access to 40 attractions, including several free boat rides. (Note: This is different from the Osaka Enjoy Eco Card). Also, consider getting an ICOCA card for convenient payments. [Available at subway vending machines] Day 1 (Arriving in Osaka at 10 AM due to an overnight flight) [Using the Amazing Pass, all attractions below are free] Arrive at Kansai Airport in the morning, take a train to the hotel to store luggage, and then have breakfast. In the afternoon, visit Osaka Castle (the Nishinomaru Garden offers great photo opportunities of the castle, free entry with the Amazing Pass), explore the KAIYODO Figure Museum, have lunch at the nearby mall, then visit the Osaka Castle Museum. Before 4:30 PM, take the last Nakanoshima sightseeing boat. In the evening, take the subway to Osaka Port Station to ride the Tempozan Ferris Wheel and visit the Osaka Aquarium (you can also visit the Sakishima Cosmo Tower Observatory on the way). Have dinner and then return to the hotel to check in and rest. At noon, visit Tennoji Zoo (some areas are currently under renovation, the polar bears and penguins are worth seeing) and the Tsutenkaku shopping street, then take the subway to the airport. If you're short on time like me, you can refer to this route . 🌟Kiyomizu-dera (6:00-18:30, admission 🎫500 yen) The most popular temple in Kyoto, a must-visit spot featured in Detective Conan. 🌟Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka (24h, no admission) Similar to a commercial street. 🌟Yasaka Shrine (24h, no admission) 🌟Gion Hanamikoji Street (24h, no admission) You might encounter a geisha here. 🕐️Opening Hours: Open 24 hours, but shops close early, around 5 PM. 🏝️Route Recommendation: Start from Gojo-zaka (there are many kimono rental shops here), walk up Gojo-zaka 👉🏻 Sannenzaka 👉🏻 Kiyomizu-dera 👉🏻 Ninenzaka 👉🏻 Yasaka Shrine 👉🏻 Gion 👉🏻 Hanamikoji Street, and finally return to Gojo-zaka to return the kimono. 💗Other Tips: Fushimi Inari is a bit far from here, so it's recommended to visit it separately.

Some say 'Kyoto is in Japan, but the real Japan is in Kyoto.' There are many cherry blossoms in Japan, either in clusters or a particularly large one in a courtyard style. And the most famous among them is the century-old cherry tree at Sanneizaka in Kyoto. To shoot the blue hour cherry blossom scene, one must wake up early, get up at 4 AM and arrive by 5 AM. There are hardly any people shooting, most are around Yasaka Pagoda. The beauty is visible to the naked eye, live photos straight out. By 6 AM, it starts to get crowded, and by 6:30, it's practically overflowing. (Kyoto is really competitive! 😭 Many people might not even be up by 6:30!) - 📍Location: Ninenzaka Sannenzaka, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, 2 Chome Kiyomizu 🎫Admission: Free Shooting Date: March 29, 2024 (Currently in full bloom, viewing period is 2 weeks) 🚗Transportation: Navigate to 'Myohoyenotei', take bus routes 202, 206, or 207 to Kiyomizu-michi Station ‼️Recommended Route: Ninenzaka Sannenzaka ➡️ Yasaka Pagoda ➡️ Kiyomizu-dera ➡️ Hanami-koji ➡️ Yasaka Shrine - ◽️Tips: ☑️ Ninenzaka Sannenzaka, Yasaka Tower Kiyomizu-dera, are unique street landscapes of Kyoto. The shops along the street and the visitors wearing kimonos make you feel as if you've traveled back to the shogunate era. ☑️ The sightseeing route I recommend is along the way, and if you want to see cherry blossoms, you can also go to Kyoto Imperial Palace and Kamo River, which are both in full bloom right now. ☑️Kyoto's cherry blossom season is very crowded, so it's advised to go out early and return early for a much better experience.

Kyoto day trip without taking the wrong path Route: 1. Kiyomizu-dera 2. Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka 3. Yasaka Shrine 4. Gion Hanami Lane 5. Fushimi Inari Shrine The first four checkpoints are all together, follow my route and you won't take a detour, after visiting these four, just switch to the subway, bus, or take a taxi to Fushimi Inari Shrine. Although there are many people in Kyoto, Kyoto is so distinctive, it looks good no matter how you take pictures. Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka are also the most crowded places in Kyoto, it's better to get there around nine o'clock for photos, as there will be relatively fewer people, and it gets very crowded at noon and in the afternoon. There are many small alleys in Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka to explore, some alleys are less crowded and look great for photos. There are also many shops in the scenic area that rent kimonos and offer makeup services, and the costumes make the photos even better. You can spend a whole morning exploring Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka, and then head to Yasaka Shrine, which I think is just average, right across the street is Gion Hanami Lane. Fushimi Inari Shrine requires a change of transportation, I suggest spending an afternoon there, because it's big and beautiful, great for taking pictures. Kyoto truly represents Japan today, very characteristic, I hope everyone can take photos to their satisfaction.

Kyoto is definitely my favorite city in Japan! This note recommends a one-day tour route in Kyoto. If you also like cultural and leisure trips, you can keep it! 1️⃣First thing in the morning, I came to [JR Kyoto Station] and checked in Conan's style. 2️⃣Take JR to [Fushimi Inari Shrine⛩️] and play for 2-3 hours (including lunch time, there is a commercial street there with a lot of food😋) 3️⃣【Flower Path】, this is a very distinctive street in Kyoto, there are many young ladies wearing kimonos, and there are also geishas! About half an hour to an hour of walking. 4️⃣【Dam River】, it is really suitable to come here in the evening sunset! I would like to call it the most beautiful sunset in Kyoto🌄Gentle, quiet, and dazzling. Sitting on the embankment and looking at the beautiful scenery in front of me, I feel that life is worth it~ 5️⃣After dinner, go to Yasaka Shrine at night. The lights of Yasaka Shrine at night are really beautiful. This is a free shrine open 24 hours a day, which is very suitable for a stroll at night🚶 The above is a more casual one-day itinerary in Kyoto. If you want to be more compact, you can add the Kinkakuji Temple, but the Kinkakuji Temple is outside the city and it takes about 40-50 minutes by bus. It is recommended to arrange it on the same day as Nijo Castle and other attractions.

#hiddengems An unforgettable experience wandering into this amazing shrine and beautiful park in Gion Kyoto. It may sometimes be overlooked by tourists while travelling to Kyoto but we would recommend these two spots to explore this hidden gem. The entrance of Yasaka Shrine is very magical and it’s like stepping into a new world. The shrine is very big, a lot of temple houses and historical buildings to look around. They also have fortune prayer cards for people to purchase for keepsakes, we enjoy the traditional culture of the shrine and toss a coin to give our prayers. We went to Maruyama Park later on where it’s connected next to the shrine. it’s a gorgeous park with a lot of scenery to look around, there is a huge pond, stone bridges and a lot of flower fields to appreciate the Mother Nature. It’s a quiet place for a relaxation and meditate, away from all the work and noises in the city. There are even small tortoises and ducks around the pond and they are so adorable to watch.

The Yasaka-jinja shrine is a Shinto shrine dating back to the year 656. Despite its age, the buildings and the grounds were very well maintained. We followed recommendations to visit at night because the weather was cooler and there were few people, and the shrine is beautifully lit up. It is also near the Gion district which is buzzing with shops, restaurants, and bars, so we grabbed a nice bowl of ramen nearby afterwards. #timetotravel #japan #kyoto #shintoshrine

Kyoto is full of historical shrines and temples, many of which have less well-known celebrations spread throughout the year. On the 3rd November, I stumbled across this event at the Yasaka Shrine. The Dedication of Bugaku at the Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto takes place every year and consists of traditional dance, music and ceremony to honour the deities of the shrine. It was performed exclusively for the Japanese court for 1200 years, until after WWII when it was opened to the public. I loved this insight into ancient Japanese dance and culture. First, the musicians entered, all wearing traditional costume and carrying their instruments. Once they started playing, they were followed by a series of performers, each of whom collected a traditional staff and completed a formal dance.
