Quzhou, a treasure city On the afternoon of May 3, we went to Yaowang Mountain. It was just right to arrive at around 14:00-15:00, as most tourists were already on their way back, and only a few tourists were preparing to climb the mountain. When we went to the visitor center to buy tickets, the staff were very enthusiastic and greeted us at the door before we even entered. We were worried that we would be too late, so we asked the ticket inspector about their closing time. Their reply really warmed our hearts: "Don't worry, as long as you go up, we will definitely ensure that you come down." We were really touched. Then we climbed the mountain while enjoying the scenery. There were very few people, and the entire mountain road was built along the waterfall. You could hear the sound of water and see streams beside every stone step and wooden step. It was really beautiful. The scenery along the way was very photogenic, and there was a place to play in the water. You could go down barefoot, which was very suitable for family trips. The whole journey up and down the mountain took about 1.5 hours, and it might take 2 hours if you wanted to take photos. When you reached the top of the mountain, you could go down through the glass walkway and then take the glass slide down easily. It was a unique experience. In the evening, we went back to see the iron flower show! It was the first time in my life to see it, and it was really spectacular. There were indeed many people, but it was necessary to plan your trip in advance and travel at off-peak times during the May Day holiday. Except for being shocked by the crowd when watching the iron flower show at Luming, we were amazed that it seemed like we were the only ones on the road during the whole trip.

There were delicious foods and fun places to visit! Firstly, regarding transportation, I arrived at Quzhou Station, which is very close to the city center. Coming out of Quzhou Station, you'll find Wanda Plaza right there, which is super convenient. The attractions in Quzhou are quite concentrated, so you can get to them by walking or by bus, which is very convenient. For accommodation, we stayed at a place near Shuitingmen which was newly opened in 2024. The environment was particularly nice, and it was very clean inside! Highly recommended! Places to visit: 1️⃣ Shuitingmen, a must-visit attraction in Quzhou. We went there both in the evening and during the day. You can go up on the city wall to take photos. Shuitingmen looks especially beautiful at night, and there are some places to eat and stroll around nearby, but there's no need to buy anything. 2️⃣ Luming Mountain Cultural District has a super large lawn where many people come for picnics and outings. It's perfect for a slow-paced lifestyle and great for bringing kids to play and fly kites. There's also a distinctive red house nearby, which is a good spot for taking photos. And there are deer on the road! There's a special place where you can feed the deer, which is great for kids! 3️⃣ Songyuan Vegetable Market is a local market. We went there close to noon, and the whole street was filled with special local foods! The bagged pancakes were delicious, remember to add a fried dough stick! There are also special rice balls, roast duck, egg pancakes, duck heads, and so on. Basically, all the special local foods are here, and there's no need to queue for a long time. 4️⃣ Yaowang Mountain, a must-visit for those who love mountains and waters. Yaowang Mountain is truly a hidden gem with beautiful scenery and not many people. It's a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and breathe fresh air. There's also a glass walkway and a glass slide on the mountain! The glass slide is really fun! I suggest everyone go and try it out! We took a bus there, which goes directly to Yaowang Mountain, and it takes about 2 hours to climb. There are many other attractions, such as the Confucius Temple, which was not open when we visited, but it's expected to open on May 1st! Food section: This time, I asked many locals and didn't queue up at those super popular internet-famous stores. The duck heads and other dishes in Quzhou are actually quite good at any random roadside store, so there's no need to queue for hours at internet-famous stores. 1️⃣ Lei Ji Spicy Hot Pot The spicy hot pot in Quzhou is really unique and delicious, a taste not found elsewhere. This store is said to be a place where locals have been eating since they were children. 2️⃣ ocake After eating at Lei Ji Spicy Hot Pot, this is a dessert shop with a really cool decor. It's very suitable for taking photos, and the desserts are super delicious! Highly recommended to try! 3️⃣ Xie's Kitchen Delicious Quzhou cuisine! The place was almost full of locals, which shows the value of this restaurant. We went to the one on He Wu Road, which is very close to Quzhou Station. Their mouth-watering chicken is a classic and unique to their restaurant! The garlic shrimp with vermicelli is also delicious! And they serve rice in an electric rice cooker, which is really cute! 4️⃣ Little West Gate Pizza A pizza place opened by a foreigner locally! A 10-inch large pizza is only 33 yuan! I was shocked! We ordered the roasted chicken pizza, the most classic and delicious! 5️⃣ Quzhou Renjia Their dishes are also particularly delicious! Stir-fried pork, dry pot green beans with beef, and more!

The Quzhou Medicine King Mountain Scenic Area is located in the southern part of Qujiang, Zhejiang Province, 29 kilometers away from Quzhou city. It is rich in Chinese herbal medicines. The center covers an area of 8,000 mu and radiates an area of 25 square kilometers. There are more than 40 landscapes, which gather mountains, waterfalls, streams, canyons, and have the seven-character features of majesty, strangeness, danger, spirituality, beauty, and seclusion. The scenic area has been approved as a national forest park. Its high grade, rich resources, and large tourist area are unique in the south of the Yangtze River. It is a blessed tourist resort. Good Address: Huangtankou Township, Qujiang District Tickets: Entrance tickets 65, scenic spot tickets + glass plank road + glass slide 129 (I recommend buying this one!!) Transportation: It is recommended to drive there by yourself, because it is far from the city. Or take a taxi for about 40 minutes, the return journey is troublesome, it is difficult to take a taxi, it is best to take a bus , about an hour and a half back to the city) We came to play during the National Day holiday, there were very few people, if you want to go outdoor climbing, watch waterfalls, and oxygen rush!
