Yangmeizhu Xiejie is located in the southwest of Qianmen, starting from Meishi Street in the east and Yanshou Street in the west. In the Ming Dynasty, it was called "Xiejie" because the street sloped from northeast to southwest, hence the name. Yangmeizhu Xiejie used to be a cultural street. Liang Shizheng, a scholar of Dongge University in the Qing Dynasty, and Shen Congwen, a modern writer, once lived on this street. Today, there is the back door of Qingyun Pavilion on the street, which is made of blue bricks and has a stone plaque of "Qingyun Pavilion" on the door. Some design studios and independent brand stores have also moved here one after another, and you can feel the unique cultural charm here.
