Visit Arisumanchan, a restaurant specializing in charcoal-grilled pork belly served outdoors. Maybe it's because I'm drinking meat and alcohol in the Han River breeze, but I'm getting drunk. When I was studying in Korea, I loved finding a spot to relax by the river, and Yanghwa Hangang Park is another park located along the Han River. It's less crowded than Yeouido Park. Personally, I find this park more serene, with more trees and shade. It's a great place for a picnic, and there's a convenience store nearby, though you might want to bring your own food. The park is also in the city, about a 15-minute walk from Hongdae.

Just gather all your stuff and place them inside a foldable trolley cart and pull them into the Hangang river in style. Actually, most people are doing it so you can save some strength too. You also can buy food and drinks easily if you did not pack them. Else but not if, just buy them off-site and you can also have a picnic instantaneously. It is also easy to reach by public transport. The beauty of Hangang river and it is also kid-friendly. They have real sand pits for the children to play, build sand castles and even obstacle courses. These facilities are for free and you can find shower rooms available at the public toilet too. It is also very easy to arrive here using the subway at Yeouinaru station. Else you can park your car at the car park and walk over. Just take note of the crowd and using public transport is easier. Otherwise, you can park 1 subway station away and then transfer to the subway. There are also more than one sand-pits in the park.
