In terms of transportation, the only way to get from Kawaguchiko to Yamadaya Hotel is by the sightseeing bus (Blue Line), which runs only three times a day, at 9:35, 13:35, and 15:35. If you want to stroll around Kawaguchiko and have lunch, it is recommended to take the bus at 13:35. The journey from Kawaguchiko Station to Yamadaya Hotel takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival, it is just the right time for check-in and to book a bathhouse experience.

Most onsen in Japan with Mount Fuji view either require you to book a really expensive ryokan room or they do not allow photography as it is a public or shared onsen. 
Sharing this little gem that I have discovered earlier this year which is soooo affordable at 3000JPY for a 50 mins slot.
I shared the cost with 2 other friends, and we had so much fun! 
You can choose to stay there or visit as a day use onsen.
The ryokan is family owned so they might not be that fluent in English. I communicated with them in Japanese and they were really nice and kind.

Approximately 30 mins bus ride or drive from Kawaguchiko station 
**prior reservations by phone is required to secure a slot, walk in are not entertained** 
You can bring your own towel or rent towels from them for a very affordable fee of around 200-300 jpy.
If you are there, do try their milk ice cream sold at their gift shop corner, it was realllllyyyyy good!
