Under the effect of light and shadow, walking among them is like a breeze flipping through pages of paper, inviting visitors to read the wordless history that has been passed down for a thousand years. 'Light as cicada's wings, white as snow, fluttering like fine silk without a sound,' a sheet of Xuan paper requires carefully selected Shatian rice straw and Qingtan tree bark, polished through 108 processes to meet the standards of 'ink absorption, deformability, durability, and insect resistance.' The craft of papermaking is not achieved overnight, and it is said that just the paper lifting process takes three to five years to learn.
