Xuanwu Mountain Tourist Area is located in the northern suburb of Jieshi Town in Lufeng, which is close to Jieshi Bay in the South China Sea. It is a religious place and scenic spot with beautiful environment. There are mainly scenic spots such as Yuanshan Temple, Fuxing Pagoda, Ancient Stage, Stone Arch, Santai Security, Kylin Stone, Longmen Stone, and Simei Pavilion. Among them, Yuanshan Temple is a place for religious activities that integrates Buddhism and Taoism. Yuanshan Temple is built on the mountain, Maitreya Buddha statues, statues and Taoism converge. The temple was built in the first year of Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127) and expanded in the Ming Dynasty. It is an ancient building complex with the Lingnan architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. The houses and corridors in the mountain gate are overlapping and intersecting. Its overall architecture integrates religious buildings, palace buildings, residential buildings and garden buildings, and has distinct local architectural characteristics. Its architectural structure is rigorous, with heavy buckets and arches, high ridged cornices, carved beams and painted buildings, traditional porcelain stickers, and the construction skills are very superb. The temple is splendid, with dragons and phoenixes carved on the main entrance, and the decoration is exquisite; the two stone lions on both sides of the door are powerful and lively, like two dedicated guards guarding Yuanshan Temple day and night. As soon as you enter the temple gate, you can see that there are many precious historical relics on display, including the wooden statue of "Sakyamuni" and Xuande incense burner in the Ming Dynasty, as well as the "Weixuanling Table" plaque given by Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty. As well as the "Shui De Primate" plaque presented by the national hero Lin Zexu of the Qing Dynasty and the plaque inscribed by Liu Yongfu, the leader of the Black Banner Army. Behind the temple is a garden view. The towering Fuxing Pagoda has three floors. On the left of the pagoda there are unicorn stones, and on the right there are Qilongyan and Longmen stones. Climbing the tower and the stone, you can have a panoramic view of the city's seascape and relax your eyes. Since ancient times, "Jietai Viewing the Sea" has been one of the eight scenic spots in Lufeng.
