The former residence of Xu Xiake is located in Mazhen Town (Xu Xiake Town), Jiangyin City. Founded in the Ming Dynasty, it covers an area of 1,000 square meters. Inside the former residence of Xu Xiake, there is a plaque of "Former Residence of Xu Xiake", displaying Xu Xiake's life stories, various karst specimens, papers and monographs written by modern experts and scholars, and more than 40 pictures of "the places Xu Xiake has visited". In the east courtyard in front of the main hall of the former residence, stands a pine tree with thick bald branches and lush green leaves, which was planted by Xu Xiake himself. The height of the tree is 6.50 meters, the diameter of the root is 2.2 meters, and the trunk needs to be hugged by two people. It has a history of more than 400 years. The backyard of the former residence is Xu Xiake's Ming-style burial tomb. The cemetery covers an area of 745 square meters. On both sides, there are many famous plants in the south of the Yangtze River, such as pine trees, cypresses, and white magnolias. In front of the altar at the end of the cemetery, there is a statue of Xu Xiake with a height of 2.70 meters, holding a bamboo hat, as if traveling through the mountains and rivers of the motherland and returning to his hometown.
