Originally a private garden, it is now open to the public. The park is not big, with a delicate and elegant layout, shaded by green trees and full of fragrant flowers. It is famous in Shanghai for its plum blossoms. Every day when it is warm and cold, the plum blossoms are elegant and fragrant, and the fragrance floats. Many people come here to admire the plum blossoms and take pictures. It is quite lively. The lotus pond is also one of the scenic spots. The lotus flowers are graceful and colorful, with a variety of styles. The refreshing breeze comes from the refreshing lotus fragrance, and the summer heat is relieved. There are not many people on weekdays, take a leisurely walk, play as much as you want, not to mention how comfortable it is.

It's been a while since I last visited Xinzhuang Plum Garden… How did it change so much?
Just after the Lunar New Year, I went for a run in the plum garden today and found that the plum blossom plantation is already open. Only the Longyou Plum and wintersweet are in bloom, and most of the other plum blossoms are still budding.
I asked the staff, and they said it would be better to come back between the weekend of February 15 and the weekend of February 22, when most of the plum blossoms will be in bloom.
However, there are already many people in the park taking photos and videos.
🌟Highlights:
The festive atmosphere is still strong, with big red lanterns and trees dressed in colorful clothes.
✅Plum Blossom Viewing Time:
February 6–March 8, 2025
6:00 am–6:00 pm daily
🚗Transportation:
Public transportation is not very convenient. It requires a bit of a walk from Waihuanlu Station or Xinzhuang Station on Line 1.
If you drive, you can park on Weiye Road, which is a dead-end street with parking 🅿️.

Xinzhuang Park in Shanghai, a place for workers to rejuvenate on weekends
Xinzhuang Park If you're in Minhang, don't just stay at home on the weekend, come out and breathe some fresh air.
The park is located at No. 421 Xinbang Road, Minhang District. It's quite large, and spending an afternoon there is no problem, and it's usually not too crowded on weekends. Some elders play chess in the park, and it's quite enjoyable to watch if you know how to play.
There are many big trees in the park, and the park itself is also spacious with plenty of spots to relax without worrying about the sun, thanks to the shade. There's also a lake with ducks in it, making the whole place feel relaxing.
It might not be suitable to consider it a tourist attraction, but as a place to unwind and have fun on the weekend, it's quite nice. The flowers and plants are especially good for taking photos. If you don't know where to go on the weekend, come out for a walk; this is a good choice.

You really had a blast at Xinzhuang Park!
You really had a blast at Xinzhuang Park!
The plum blossom season at Xinzhuang Park has ended, and there are fewer people around. In the afternoons on weekdays, it's mostly nearby residents who come for walks or to take their children out. Cherish the sunny spring days, as every day is filled with the warmth of spring and blooming flowers!
Sitting in the pavilion for a while to bask in the sun, listening to the old ladies chattering and playing the erhu, this must be what retirement is like. You can also take a boat ride on the lake, and I even encountered a big goose by the lake!
Apart from the one at the entrance, the plum blossoms have mostly faded. Gardeners are pruning the branches, waiting for next year's plum blossom season to return. Several tall magnolia trees are already blooming beautifully, and they are very pretty!

If you like strolling in the park and taking ancient costume photos, you must come to Xinzhuang Park once! P1 is the place I recommend the most. The river is dark green and super beautiful! You can stand by the river and take photos, it must be very beautiful. I, who have no model, can only take some scenery haha. The park is of moderate size.
If you live in Minhang District, it would be very comfortable to have a chance to take a walk.
