Xintiandi, a trendy tourist area in Shanghai
#Sakura2024 Xintiandi
The atmosphere is very shady. There is a sense of Chinese culture mixed with Western culture. It stands out with the Shikumen architecture that combines Western and Chinese architecture. This area is full of chic restaurants.
The food sold in this area is diverse, from cafes to international restaurants, European food, Japanese food, French food, and fusion Chinese food to choose from. There are tables to sit outside like a restaurant in Europe. It feels great. There are also shops and brand name shops that have opened in this area. It has become another popular shopping area in Shanghai.

🚈How to get there: Metro Line 10,13, get off at Xintiandi Station, Exit 6, walk along Madang Road.

The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe Shanghai
Cute little coffee shop on the second floor of Xintiandi Mall, going through Tiffany and Co using the stairs to get to the coffee shop. Beautiful coffee shop of different, blue and white. I had a cappuccino and the 'present' cake. It's so good but to much for 1 person will be great for sharing. Ideal place to meet up with friends for cake and coffee.

Xintiandi
Xintiandi is a complex in the Huangpu area of Shanghai that has been completely renovated. It has a row of nice shops, restaurants and bars which range in style and price.
Even if you don’t go there for a meal, it is still a nice street to walk along and take in the atmosphere. Most of the shops on the strip are on the higher end in terms of price but the restaurants are a real mix with some cheap deals to be found #shanghai #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer

Visions Come True Exhibit
Located in K11 B3 level, the art exhibits are an interesting way to pass time. I bought the combined ticket with the Pokémon exhibit for 138RMB on my visit but you can buy an individual ticket for 80RMB.
This exhibit is small and a little strange. It makes you explore the weird and wonderful. It is only 2 small rooms and won’t take that long to visit so it can be seen within 30 minutes.

Weekends with Anya ❤️❤️❤️
This month the theme in Shonen Jump Cafe was well known animation “Spy family”.
It is one of my favorite anime at the moment. Story tells us about a spy who has to ‘fake’ a family to execute his mission, not realizing that the girl he adopts is a telepath, and the woman he agrees to marry is a skilled assassin.
Let’s talk about food!!! It was gooooood. Steak was good even I had it for breakfast but I don’t regret it😂😂😂
PS you have to book table in advance as it’s hot spot now between anime lovers and morning dates.

Morning visit in Xintiandi
In the evening it can be a very crowded place, as there are many restaurants in this nice area of Shanghai.
So it is a good idea, too, to go there for a coffee or breakfast in the morning and enjoy the scenery. Xintiandi is partly reconstructed from old stone buildings from the middle of the 19th century.

🏘Walk down the bustling, stone-paved pedestrian street of Xintiandi, which will take you by some of the area’s most popular places to eat and drink. You can find all types of cuisine here, from American, German and Italian to Japanese and Thai. The majority of these restaurants have outdoor seating as well, making for some great people-watching. You can escape the crowd by turning into those small lanes where you can get to see the traditional shikumen architecture, with its vaulted stone door frames and wooden doors.
To learn more about shikumen lane houses, check out the Shikumen Museum, which is located at the southern end of the north block of Xintiandi

🎄Christmas in The Roof
Christmas is coming. My friends and I came to Shanghai's popular building - The Roof. This Is What That Big Red Building South of Xintiandi. It`s creating living facades in the heart of Shanghai.
The Roof opened over the May holiday just a few blocks south of Xintiandi, right opposite to another cultural hub Uni Elite. Walking down from Xintiandi it's hard to miss because of its plant covered, bold red exterior, courtesy of French architect Jean Nouvel (who also did Museum of Art Pudong).

Lovely walk on your way to the Bund
Xintiandi is located approximately 10 minutes walk from Site of the CPC National Congress subway station exit 6 (line 10).
It’s lovely at night and it’s quite beautiful.
It is however a very short trip so if you don’t have much time in Shanghai I’d recommend going to Tianzifang instead.

Sunday night BBQ in Xintiandi
As you know, I’m a big fan of bbq restaurants. Chuxiaoge in Fuxing Plaza (Soho) in Xintiandi is a nice finding. Relatively cheap, tasty and open.
Something funny about Shanghai is the difficulty to find restaurants open at night, despite the fact this city never sleeps. There are not many restaurants open after 9pm, specially on a rainy weekend. Therefore, if you are in the area you shoul definitely grab a bite here!
Staff are quite nice, ambience is inviting. Not sure how crowded will be during the day. Beer drinks are good, specially with bbq. Meat and seafood 🦞 sticks are very tasty. Chuxiaoge additionally have rice 🍚 and noodles 🍜 options, if you feel bbq sticks are not enough.
They have a pear soup 🥣 that may not look so good, but it’s very recommended. Same with the duck.

Shanghai is never short of outdoor brunch places. And spring is the best time to enjoy it. With too much love for avacado in any form like guacamole or toast or whatever; Mexican is always my go to place when I'm super hungry. They also satiate my spicy needs, as their cuisine is also from tropical. I feel most of the tropical places in somehow have the similar taste and flavor except the spices that are local. Situated in the downtown in Xintiandi, this mexican paradise is Mayita. I also heard they have another branch, but I find this place more appealing just because of its outdoor seating. Also we ordered two smoothies, an avocado & a mango in which again the avocado wins haha. Altogether, it's a perfect go-to place during spring. #tripfoodie #tripfoodieshanghai #mexicancuisine #brunchspots

A place that combines festive celebrations and cultural feasts~~Xintiandi
Shanghai Xintiandi is a unique urban tourist attraction located at 181 Taicang Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai. It retains the traditional Shikumen architectural style of Shanghai while incorporating modern elements, making it a fashionable landmark that integrates commerce, culture, and entertainment.
At the end of December, Xintiandi is filled with a strong and romantic Christmas atmosphere. There are Christmas decorations everywhere, such as large Christmas wreaths, large Christmas TVs, Christmas trees, etc., making it a perfect place for taking photos. Especially at night, when the lights are on, the whole atmosphere becomes particularly dreamy and joyful, combining festive celebrations and cultural feasts.
Shanghai Xintiandi is a place full of historical heritage and modern vibes.

Christmas Poems of Xintiandi: Holiday Memories in the Starry Lights
Winter in Shanghai's Xintiandi is like a grand Christmas symphony. The market stalls are lined up in a row, with the warm yellow lights reflecting off the vintage red brick walls, filling the entire neighborhood with the magic of the holiday season.
I weave through the bustling crowd, with handmade cookies, exquisite candles, and Christmas decorations at every stall, all exuding a strong festive atmosphere. Holding a cup of warm hot chocolate, the rising steam dispels the cold of the winter night, adding a touch of warmth to the street along with the Christmas carols in my ears.
The Christmas tree in the center of the square stands tall and magnificent, with twinkling lights, and children excitedly taking pictures and playing under the tree. The subsequent Christmas performances push the atmosphere to a climax, with dancers dressed in silver and white snowflake costumes, dancing gracefully like winter elves. My friends and I stand in a corner under the shadow of the tree, quietly feeling the joy and warmth of the holiday. On this night, Xintiandi becomes a stage for Christmas dreams, with every scene like a winter poem gently etched in our hearts.
