Xinhui Academy is located at No. 42 Jiefang Road, Nanning City, facing south. It was built with funds raised by people from Xinhui County, Guangdong Province. With a width of 20 meters, the original three halls, two corridors and one pavilion, the existing three halls and two corridors, are well-preserved ancient buildings in Nanning. It is listed as an autonomous region-level cultural relics protection unit. The academy has a rectangular plan and is divided into three halls: front, middle and rear. The halls are separated by patios. There are corridors on both sides of the back patio. The layout is rigorous and the lighting is sufficient. The width of the hall is 14.2 meters, the total depth is 55.2 meters, and the height of each hall is 9 meters. The front hall was rebuilt in 1932 due to the widening of the road. The roof ridge tiles were removed in 1982 and rebuilt in 1987. The nave is 14.5 meters deep, the granite platform is 0.8 meters higher than the front hall, the steps are 5, the stone eaves pillars, the beam-lifting roof truss, and there is a roll shed in front. Between the purlin beams, there are partitions and bucket arches, which are compact in structure and meticulously carved. The structure of the apse is basically the same as that of the nave. The granite platform base is 0.9 meters higher than the nave, with seven steps and drum-holding stones on both sides. The corridors on both sides between the nave and the apse also use stone pillars and glazed tile roofs. The entire academy has a compact architectural layout, scattered heights, solemn and quaint, and has the light and beautiful style of ancient Lingnan buildings.
