Inn express hotel in Shanghai, a disaster…
Hi guys,
Currently travelling in Shanghai to see a friend, I booked a room in the inn express holiday hotel, nearby the bond. Either the room is decent, nothing transcend but the breakfast is just not good.
I’m not very picky for food but really it doesn’t taste good, even the coffee taste burned 🥵
Otherwise they have a tiny gym room, if you want to lift some heights before going out 😜
Finally the location is just perfect and the price is acceptable.

Century-old Xinhua Road
Xinhua Road is an important road in Shanghai with a rich history and traces of a century of change.
• Construction time: Xinhua Road was built in 1925 and was originally a major road supporting the development of the city.
• Renaming process: • 1925–1943: Named Anhesi Road. • 1943–1947: Renamed Chahar Road. • 1947–1958: Renamed Fahua Road because it was close to Fahua Town. • 1958–present: Renamed Xinhua Road and has been used ever since.
Xinhua Road starts from Huaihai West Road in the east and ends at Kaixuan Road in the west, with a total length of 2,434 meters. It is one of the 64 roads in Shanghai that will never be widened. Before the construction of Pudong Airport and Yan'an Elevated Road, whenever Chinese and foreign leaders visited Shanghai, they usually passed through Xinhua Road to reach the city center after leaving Hongqiao Airport. Therefore, Xinhua Road was once called "State Guest Road" by Shanghai people.
There are garden houses and new-style Shanghai-style lanes. The whole street is dotted with garden houses of various styles, including British, Dutch, Italian, and Spanish styles, and is known as "Shanghai's First Garden Road." Today, let's walk into Xinhua Road and visit this famous street in Changning District.

A hidden gem near the film city
J·PRAKASH is a newly opened restaurant and bar in the Xinhua Road Park near the film city. The restaurant was designed by a Japanese designer and features a minimalist wabi-sabi style. The wine glasses are very unique.
The restaurant serves Japanese cuisine and American-style grilled dishes. Set meals are available at lunch, and the food and prices are very reasonable for Xinhua Road.
The desserts are homemade and very good. Don't miss the fried noodles under the caviar potatoes, which are perfect with wine.
Celebrate the New Year with friends and a bottle of Penfolds.

The atmosphere is amazing! A Christmas courtyard in downtown Shanghai where it snows
In the courtyard outside the Western restaurant at 321 Xinhua Road
Artificial snow falls after 6:00 pm
We arrived at around 7:00 pm
There was snow all the time❄️
The place is small, just a small courtyard
It's beautifully decorated and has a great atmosphere
There are also Christmas decorations in the small house next to it
There are more people on weekend nights, so it's better to go on weekdays
.
📍Address: 321 Xinhua Road
🚇Transportation: Jiaotong University Station on Line 10/11
It's inconvenient to park on the small road, so it's recommended to take a taxi or public transportation

The super popular DV Bakery is finally not crowded anymore.
Lazy people enjoy winter first, and in winter, they love this soul-healing carb.
The newly opened DV Bakery on Xinhua Road is not crowded anymore. I went to eat bread at 12:00 noon, and all the varieties I wanted were available. I ordered coffee and bread with my best friend and went to the second floor to eat. I could also see the Christmas tree of Scilla in the yard, which was very Christmas-like.
Cream Cannolo: A bit similar to DV's dessert, overall it was still delicious, but I think DV's is better.
Rum Baba: Available in two sizes, I ordered the large Rum Baba. The cake is soft and moist, with a sweet taste and a rich aroma of wine, and the taste is very authentic.
Cream Croissant: The crust is crispy and fluffy, and when cut with a knife and fork, the cream inside is sweet and smooth, and it is not greasy even if you eat more.
Soft Apple Cake: The texture is solid, with the aroma of apple and orange peel, and it feels very autumn and winter when eaten with coffee.
I was too full to eat the Italian cream bun and pizza, so I can try them next time.

It's hard to say I love you to Xinhua Road in this season
It's hard to say I love you to Xinhua Road in this season.
When the wind blows, I think of a line: 'What does the falling snow resemble?' This scene indeed has a similar charm to 'like willow catkins rising with the wind.'
I just didn't have time to capture the similar scenes; I was already in tears, feeling choked up. Hastily took some photos and left quickly. I'll love you again next month~

Shanghai Citywalk | Can be called the romantic ceiling of winter
Shanghai Citywalk | Can be called the romantic ceiling of winter
📍Detailed address:
Lane 179, Xinhua Road, Changning District
Take Metro Line 10 or 11 to Jiaotong University Station
Xinhua Road is known as the first garden road, very suitable for City walk. The mottled light and shadow on the ground is the romance that can't be refused in winter. It makes people slow down inadvertently. The romantic and healing plane trees and old western-style houses are very photogenic
