Located in the northern foothills of the Qinling Mountains in Chang'an District, the park is about 20 km south of Xi'an and is known for its Jiangnan-style charm and pristine ecology. Transportation Guide: To make my visit more convenient, I chose to drive. I took the Fengyu Roundabout west to East Dahuanshan Road, then south to Xiangyu Pass. The entire journey was about 2 km to the scenic area. For those who don't drive, you can take public transportation, such as Bus 4-08 from Weiqu Huamei Shizi to the forest park. Opening Hours: 8:00 am–5:00 pm Since the sun sets earlier in winter, I recommend entering the park early to ensure you have enough time to explore. The park stops selling tickets at 4:30 pm, so it's important to plan your trip accordingly. Environment: Stepping into Xiangyu Forest Park feels like entering a secluded green world. With a forest coverage rate of 94.5%, the fresh air and tranquil environment make you feel like you're far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Xiangyu in winter has a unique charm, with green pines and snow creating a beautiful picture. Average Cost: CNY 29 Tickets are CNY 28 per person after discounts, plus a possible CNY 10 for the scenic area's shuttle bus, making it a budget-friendly option. In addition, there are many farmhouses in and around the park that offer affordable dining options to meet the needs of different visitors. Thoughts: This New Year's trip was a great experience. It's recommended to bring trekking poles. ⏰ Time: Start hiking at 10 am, reach the top at around 2 pm, taking four hours. Two hours is enough to go down the mountain. ➡️ Other: Two bottles of water are enough. There are several places to buy water on the mountain. You don't need to bring too much food. It's best to bring trekking poles and a sun hat. Xiangyu is a relatively off-the-beaten-path mountain. There are not many people during the National Day holiday, unlike Taiping, which is very crowded. This may be because there is no cable car. However, the scenery is still very good, with many waterfalls and a large water flow. It's very suitable for a weekend trip to get some fresh air. If you don't want to hike, you can play in the water and camp at the foot of the mountain. 🥰
