A poetic getaway in Hangzhou, a tranquil time at Xiang Lake.
My destination this time is Hangzhou, and I am at Xiang Lake Freedom Manor. Walking to the window, I can see the green Xiang Lake. I chose to come to Hangzhou to experience this unique tranquility and comfort.
I chose to stay at Xiang Lake Freedom Manor. Here, it is away from the dust but not the city, hidden from the world but not far from the world. Xiang Lake Freedom Manor is located in Xiang Lake National Tourism Resort, and its unique geographical location and architectural style attracted me.
During the day, you can choose to take a boat tour of Xiang Lake. The boat is on the water, and the surrounding mountains and rivers seem to become agile. Whenever the boat passes a small island or a stone bridge, I feel a poetic picture. When the setting sun is on the lake, the golden light makes Xiang Lake more charming.
After nightfall, I chose to stroll by Xiang Lake. Watching a live performance "Xiang Lake Ya Yun" in Xiang Lake opened up another side of this landscape for me. In this quiet night, listening to the sound of water, the sound of wind, and the sound of opera, it is intoxicating. I felt this unique charm and poetry of Xiang Lake.
The accommodation experience of Xiang Lake Freedom Manor also impressed me. The hotel's design integrates natural and modern elements, both ancient charm and fashionable atmosphere. The hotel's facilities are complete, whether it is an indoor swimming pool or a children's playground, gym, etc., it makes people feel the warmth and comfort of home. And the photos taken by the outdoor swimming pool at night are even more refreshing.
During these three days and two nights of vacation in Hangzhou, I felt an unprecedented relaxation and comfort at Xiang Lake Freedom Manor. There is not only beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodation experience, but also a feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle and returning to nature. I believe that this wonderful time will become one of my unforgettable memories in my life.

The hotel is full of design, with many places to check in. The design incorporates theatrical culture, with many elements such as Liang Zhu, butterflies, and stages. Whether it's the long corridor, the stairs, or the rooftop viewing platform, they all make for great photos.
There are also outdoor water play areas, indoor swimming pools, gyms, and children's centers, making it ideal for family vacations.
My room was on the ninth floor, and it was huge, with the creative idea of "the world outside the stage". Welcome fruits, free mini bar, and a large round bathtub in the bathroom, making it a full-fledged vacation.
The open balcony faces the green mountains, full of greenery and freshness.
There are also many restaurants around Xiang Lake Freedom Manor, and Xiang Lake Water Street is within walking distance, with many places to check in.

During the scorching summer, this place maintains a constant 22°C, as if you are in a fairyland of perpetual spring. The indoor pool with its rippling waters is the best place to rest after sweating it out; the fully equipped gym makes every workout full of energy and passion; and the fun-filled children's playground is the best witness to parent-child time, making family vacations full of laughter and warmth. Every inch of the room reveals exquisite craftsmanship, spacious and bright, with a large balcony facing the beautiful scenery of Xiang Lake, capturing the vast expanse of blue waves. When you open the window in the morning, you are greeted with lush greenery and sparkling water; at dusk, it is a scene of twinkling lights and a starry sky, making you feel relaxed and forget the hustle and bustle.

Hangzhou | A great place for a family vacation.
Xianghu Lake is beautiful in fall and winter. 🍂 With few people and beautiful scenery, it's a great place to enjoy the fall and take your kids. There are many places to visit nearby.
✅ Xianghu Yuejie: Hidden among the green trees of Xianghu Lake, it features white walls, black tiles, small bridges, flowing water, and Huizhou-style architecture.
✅ Hushan Square: There are large areas of water pine and lawns suitable for camping and picnics.
✅ Kuahuqiao Site Museum: Learn about the history and culture of Kuahuqiao. The museum is shaped like a bridge.
✅ Hangzhou Changqiao Polar Ocean Park: There are many marine animals and a small theater.

We stayed at Xianghu Ziyou Manor, which is located in Xianghu Scenic Area. It's convenient to go anywhere.

🍽️ Food recommendation:
The hotel has Chinese and Western restaurants and afternoon tea. The restaurant faces the hotel's garden, which is a great place to take photos. We tried the new Yue Opera afternoon tea. 🫖 The food is uniquely shaped like a work of art. 🧁 It's delicate and delicious, with a sweet and salty combination. Kids love it.
We had Chinese food for dinner. We recommend the Longjing shrimp. 🍤 The meat is firm with a light tea aroma. The lemon-flavored crispy beef is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The asparagus with Australian scallops is delicious. 👍
Breakfast has a variety of options. You can make your own fruit and vegetable juice. There are many types of bread, including donuts 🍩 and mushroom and tomato 🍅 shapes. We were full every day.

In the context of the large number of hotels in Hangzhou, local luxury hotel brands have witnessed the pursuit of quality of life by the people of Zhejiang and have created many luxurious high-end brands that are well-known to the public. This time, I recommend a good resort in Hangzhou, Xianghu Free Manor, jointly designed by GOA Elephant Design and MOD Ink Design Office, inspired by the lake and mountains and Xianghu culture. The hotel is located in the Xianghu National Tourism Resort.
The entire resort area includes various recreational facilities, making it easy to get into vacation mode. The hotel covers a large area, including villas, and from a high vantage point, the hotel is situated in a valley with a very open view.
The hotel's central area is the drop-off area at the lobby, where every guest arriving at the hotel stops to take photos and check in.
The lobby design is very impressive and eye-catching. Upon arriving at the hotel, the first impression is that the lobby is beautiful, with an open view, and the front desk is very skilled, providing meticulous and thoughtful service to guests.
The design of the public areas and the hardware facilities all reach the level of a luxury hotel, and the hotel's tone is more suitable for young people, with lively and vivid design.
The corridor area on each floor makes good use of Jiangnan characteristics. I stayed in a 120-square-meter Flowing Rhythm one-bedroom suite, the welcome fruit was very good, the room was comfortable, and the sense of space was large.
The biggest advantage of this suite is the 270-degree unobstructed lake view, and the balcony area is estimated to be 25 square meters.
The bathroom has double sinks, and both the living room and bedroom are equipped with smart toilets, with bath products from the same brand as Indigo, Shanghai Tang Yulong Fragrance.
The bedroom headboard is equipped with JBL speakers, which also have wireless charging functions, and the living room TV is equipped with BOSE Bluetooth speakers, the bedding is comfortable and soft.
The minibar is free on the first night, with Lulu almond milk and Wangzai milk, highly praised.
In addition to the Flowing Rhythm one-bedroom suite, I highly recommend the Yun Jin Lake View room type, which is 50 square meters, with a small balcony, a very comfortable sense of space, and is super suitable for couples in love.
In terms of design, it takes good care of beauty-loving customers, with a dedicated dressing table, and the bathtub in this room type is also my personal favorite, a large round bathtub.
As a resort hotel, the hotel has three swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor, with a separate children's pool for kids, taking care of different customer groups in all aspects. The gym design is more like a multimedia social space, next to the children's club.
Don't miss the hotel's signature Western restaurant, which is very good. The bread before the meal shows the chef's level, and every dish is excellent, performing beyond expectations. Whether it's the bread before the meal, vegetable salad, steak, or dessert, all are selected products. Staying at this hotel, you can skip their Chinese food, but you must try the Western food.
Breakfast is in the lobby on the first floor, with not many varieties, but all the basics are there, and most importantly, they provide freshly squeezed juice.
The overall stay experience is relatively stable in all aspects. It is recommended to make the guest service more detailed. As a resort hotel, there is no turndown service, which is a flaw in the experience. Providing turndown service or preparing a small turndown gift with Hangzhou characteristics for guests would meet the current guests' expectations and anticipation for new hotels and luxury hotels.
In the evening, you can watch a large-scale lake view performance show near the hotel, Xianghu Elegance, directed by Sha Xiaolan, the chief director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Hangzhou Asian Games. The viewing experience is very shocking, highly recommended, a must-see program.
