Huimin has a well-preserved government office from the Ming and Qing dynasties
Wuding Prefecture Yamen is located next to the ruins of the ancient Song Dynasty city in Huimin County. It has been fully restored according to the regulations of the prefecture yamen during the Ming and Qing dynasties. According to research, the government office was first built in the eighth year of Dazhong Xiangfu (1015 AD) and served as the seat of the prefecture throughout the Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. In the sixth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1373 AD), Dizhou was renamed Le'anzhou. After the rebellion of Zhu Gaoxu, the second son of Emperor Yongle Zhu Di, was put down, Le'an Prefecture was renamed Wuding Prefecture and the prefecture government was moved back to its original location. In the 12th year of Yongzheng's reign (1734 AD), the state was promoted to a prefecture, which governed nine counties and one state. The government office now open to visitors is very complete, with office space, reception area, trial court, family residences, garden pond, and so on. It is early spring, with the subtle fragrance of wintersweets floating in the air, magnolias in full bloom, and peach and apricot blossoms about to bloom. It is worth a visit. Opening hours are 8:30-17:30, and the ticket price is 50 yuan.
