Shanti Stupa 🇳🇵 Pokhara
The world Peace Pagoda or Shanti Stupa in Pokhara is the best viewpoint I've ever walked too.
Picture 3 does absolutely no service to the stunning view. Mountains on top of mountains, a glass like lake and the settlements in between.
Getting to the top was a fun hike, we walked from the city centre around to the back of the mountain and followed the trails and any signs we could find.
Once we go to the top we were surprised to find a coupe local restaurants selling 'momo' and coffee which we were strong.
We went to the Pagoda which is a silent zone and just sat untill the sunset taking in the spectacular views.
Note: When the sun sets in Pokhara temperature plummets and it gets very dark very fast.
So as we were not dressed for the cold or the dark we came down the mountain fairly quickly and found a taxi stand at the base of the mountain on the back side.
