Affordable Comfort Meal
📍12 Woodlands Square, #01-61 Woods Square Tower 1, Singapore 737715
Nuodle is a halal-certified hand-pulled noodles store hidden at a corner of Woods Square level 1. Their menu is quite simple with just a few types of noodles main dish, some cold dish, soup and drinks of which you you can choose to upgrade to a set meal. The outlet is quite small with only a few tables available for dine-in.
We ordered the Premium Fish Thick Vermicelli and Chicken Bean Paste La Mian (Dry noodles something like jjajangmyeon), and upgrade both to a set with homemade drinks and cold dish (braised egg and seaweed jelly). We waited quite a while for our food, before they finally called our numbers. Both noodles were surprisingly not too heavy in taste and quite big serving too. The homemade drinks were nice too. Overall, it's a value for money comfort meal for us.

Sunsets in the North
Noticed many beautiful sunsets like these in the North of Singapore. The pinkish-purple skies look out-of-this-world! Be sure to look up in the evening, especially after the rain. #sunset

Blue Pea Nasi Lemak
📍 6 Woodlands Square, B2-01, Singapore 737737
The White Tiffin is a retro olden style restaurant serving local food like Nasi Lemak, Laksa, Curry Chicken and more local dishes. This is the second outlet in Singapore (1st at Changi City Point). The white and blue store decor has lots of the olden style plates, tingkats and more, with seatings of old wooden stools and marble type table.
I had their Blue Pea Nasi Lemak with Prawn Paste Chicken. There's a lot of small side dishes such as Papadum, salted egg cracker, achar, ikan bilis, boiled egg and sambal chili. Nice unique presentation of the Nasi Lemak rice in the middle which is shaped like a cone.

Vegan burger and bubble tea @ nomVnom
Address - 6 Woodlands Square Woods Square, Tower 2, #01-06, 737737
Highlights - Vegan burgess, bubble tea (plant based milk)
Avg. Price per Person - $15~20
Delicious vegan burger and bubble tea @ nomVnom Xpress, Wood Square. There are around 10 different burgers and I had the Fishless Slaw that had "fish fingers" made with konjac. The texture and taste is like fishcake, and the burger taste fresh and warm.
Partnering with Mong Cha Cha, the outlet also sells around 10+ types of bubble tea. The staff told me all the mylk used is either soy or oat milk. My choice was Mugi soy boba tea with zero sugar and no ice. The sweet and chewy brown sugar pearl pairing with mugi soy tea taste good. It will be prefect if it is more creamier though.
I probably will visit again to try the classic soy patty burger and the chocolate creme latte. This is a good place for all to try out vegan food.

Kids carnival fun 🎡
Due to the small geophysical size of Singapore it’s rare to see amusement park in Singapore. This results in very little carnivals that are meant for kids.
Which is why little children are always excited when there are Pasar Malam these days. Because it means some rides meant for them are coming in!
The rides are usually pay per head so parents only need to pay for their kids ride fee and can still look after them from the side.
In this fair since it’s a little small there are only a few rides. The huge ride meant for adults is the red circle one behind the tall bouncy slides.
I saw it spinning high in the air when I was at the train station next door.

Rare finds at night market
Night market, commonly known as Pasar Malam in Singapore is crazy.
Apart from food, we actually have stores. Not just clothing store, electronic or hardware stores.
There are even furniture and plants store LOL. After so many years I’m still amused that people sell furniture.
While a lot of stuff can be purchased online these days it’s still interesting to witness such a sight that reminds me of my childhood.
There are even a lot of UFO machines and this huge size brown bear that looks similar to another very famous bear haha.
I remembered when I was younger I would always ask my parents to buy me new clothing here because they have matching kids clothing in sets. Silly isn’t it.

Night Market is back 🍢🍭
So surprised to see Pasar Malam again. Pasar Malam is the Malay word for night market and it’s Singapore version of the night market.
To be honest, I’ve completely forgotten such a sight exist after getting trapped at home during the pandemic LOL.
Imagine my delight to witness such a sight again. So many food and drinks!!!
Different kind of Thai teas of all sizes… many street snack food. And even my favourite fake shark fin soup.
See how long the queues are, but the good thing is this time round there are actually tables for you to dine in. Maybe because of covid. Because last time everyone can just stand and eat 😅.

Pasar Malam is more than just about the food
Singaporean style night market also known as Pasar malam is something not to be taken lightly in Singapore.
Other than the amazing international street food out on display, there are also other stores at the Pasar malam that sell any and everything that you might be looking for from furnitures like tables, chairs, cabinet, clothes, electronic gadgets like phones, tablets, potted plants and even household items such as nail clippers, power plug extension. For the bigger Pasar Malams, you may even get a fun fair theme park to play as well.
It’s hard to visit one of these without walking away with a bag of items that I’m sure your house already has,but your mind told you that you don’t have it and you somehow needed it.

Woodlands Pasar Malam: Let the feast begin!
As Singapore starts to move back to post covid state, we somehow start to become like it’s pre covid, I rejoiced as I see our beloved national activity returns, feasting at a Pasar Malam which is also known as a night market in Malay.
This is one of Singapore’s largest night market opened directly next to Woodlands MRT station. The Pasar Malam brings us back together again as Singaporeans regardless of race, language or religion through the iconic food of Singapore inevery race like the XXL Taiwan Fried chicken, Vadai, Thai Milk tea, Takoyaki and most importantly Ramly Burger among many other food. Unlike the usual pasar Malam setting, there is even seating provided for you to enjoy all the good food in a comfortable manner!

Nature in the heartlands
Address - Rosewood Drive, Woodlands
All along Rosewood Drive at Woodlands are beautiful scenes of greenery and flowers. It is a residential estate with many condominiums around but the place doesn’t feel city-like. I love how there are wide open spaces and lots of natural landscapes to delight in.
Walking here doesn’t feel like it’s in Singapore but in a more remote country. It’s good to find such calming places to take slow walks from time to time to get away from the stresses of life and take the time to smell the flowers.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍Woodlands Checkpoint, Singapore
This was my first time Singapore. I remember at that time, I had never been to Malaysia. So we decided to pay a visit only for a day to Johor, Malaysia. We first needed to buy a bus ticket at Woodlands checkpoint. It didn’t need a long time to get to Johor. It was a fun experience since at that time, my English also wasn’t very good. I was so scared to speak English😂

🇸🇬 Spectacular Geometrical Wall Design
There are many beautifully designed MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) stations in Singapore. One of my favourites is Woodlands South MRT station (TE3) of Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) opened in Jan 2020. As a Math enthusiast, I can't help admiring the spectacular geometrical wall design near exit 3 whenever I pass by.
The opening of TEL greatly shortens the traveling time from Woodlands to the central of Singapore where most tourist attractions and business & financial districts are located. It is currently partially completed until Gardens by The Bay MRT. The major stations along the way include Caldecott (connected to Circle Line), Orchard (biggest shopping district in Singapore) and Outram Park (connected to East West Line).

Explore North Singapore
i always thought the northern side of Singapore is mundane and inaccessible, I was proven wrong today. The photos I have taken today proved me wrong. I went on a trail from Choa Chua kang all the way to Punggol via Woodlands, Sembawang and Yishun. This trail lasted for 6h spanning over 30km. I just wished the bright side of the sky lasted longer so I could explore further... #urbanexplorer
