【Must-Visit Attractions in the Netherlands】Zaanse Schans Windmill Village, Cheese and Wooden Shoe Factory, Perfect for a Half-Day Trip!
Zaanse Schans Windmill Village is one of the most famous windmill villages in the Netherlands, located in the Zaanstad district, north of Amsterdam, and is known as the 'Dutch Windmill Museum'! Here, you will see many windmills with different characteristics, as well as a beautiful village. Nearby, there is also a cheese factory and a wooden shoe factory that you can visit, which is very special! The cheese factory also offers a lot of tasting services, allowing you to taste the texture of each cheese. It is recommended to spend half a day here, and you can reach this place within 15 minutes by taking a train from Amsterdam! It's very convenient and fast👍🏻
I came to the Netherlands this time through Trip.com to buy plane tickets, and after purchasing the tickets, I also enjoyed the free VIP lounge, and as a Diamond member, I can enjoy it twice!
just alittle north of amsterdam is zaanse schans, home to many windmills from the past. cycling there was amazing and just being in awe of the nature. 😍😍

🇳🇱Adorable keepsakes from Amsterdam🇳🇱❤️
#magicalxmastrip
Don’t forget to grab these little cute and adorable keepsakes from the souvenir shop in Zaanse Schans.
The whole place is also decorated and we loved the whole Christmas vibe here. There were much more items for sale, from magnets to postcards to clogs—which are also amazing things to get as souvenirs. The staff here were also very friendly and warm—they even gave us some free samples of chocolate. After watching the clog making demo do walk around the shop—surely you will find something nice to take back home👍🎄

Dutch Windmill Village
Zaandik Zaanse Schans Windmill Village, only a 15-minute drive from Amsterdam🚄 But here is really far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.... Sitting quietly by the canal and watching the windmills is a kind of enjoyment😌
There is a hot cocoa shop in the village. Because it was quite cold when I went there, and the wind was strong, I just saw this shop open and went in to buy a cup. Having a cup of hot cocoa in the big winter is really too cool😋

Zaanse Schans Windmill Village, Netherlands
You must visit the windmill village near Amsterdam, especially on sunny days, you can take photos that feel like a fairy tale world in minutes
💚Transportation: Take the sprinter to Zaandijk Zaanse Schans, which takes about half an hour. It is really convenient. We bought a three-day Amsterdam pass and can take the bus directly.
💚Visiting time: 3h-4h, depending on personal circumstances.
💚There is a place to rent bicycles🚲 as soon as you get out of the train station. Although we didn’t rent one, it was very leisurely to see others riding bicycles around the village.
💚Get off the bus and follow the crowd or the navigation. It will take about 15 minutes to arrive. Cross a bridge and enter the village. Enter the village and walk along the main road. You can see several large windmills along the way. We chose to walk to the right first and walk around the village.
The green house against the backdrop of blue sky, white clouds, small bridges and flowing water is really photogenic, giving a feeling of a paradise.
The small courtyards of each household are well maintained, and you can get close to the lambs 🐏 and ducks 🦆.
💚There are free wooden shoes and cheese museums to visit in the village, and cheese can be tasted for free. There is a huge pair of shoes and a wooden shoe wall at the entrance of the Wooden Shoe Museum, where you can take photos and check in.
💚The windmills are really huge when viewed up close. You can buy tickets to visit some and climb up the windmills to see the scenery.
💚It is recommended to take a look at the "building block" town of Zaandam on the way there or on the way back. You can see Figure 9 as soon as you exit the train station. You can also go to the main street in the town for a stroll. HEMA is quite big and you can have a cup of coffee and take a break.
