One of the temples you can visit in Semarang. Sam Poo Kong is not quite far from the city. I really love the buildings. It’s really beautiful and colorful. The ticket price is around USD 1 each but if you want to enter all the temple the ticket should be twice as much. Multiracial issue is not appeared here at all. You can learn about Cheng Ho and his journey to Indonesia. I love the way it stands on the main area of the temples. It has both Chinese and Javanese culture. People who come here are not supposed to pray only, but also do the bigger thinks. #100種旅行方式 I visited Sam Poo Kong three times, both during the day and at night. As a Chinese traveler abroad, it’s rare to see such a grand and majestic palace. I also learned about Zheng He's history of helping the local people. He mediated conflicts between Thailand and Malaysia in ancient times, assisted the emperors of this region, and even helped suppress local bandits. In other cities across Malaysia and Indonesia, there are many temples dedicated to Zheng He, reflecting the respect and admiration he has earned from the local people. He remains a role model for us.

I started my trip at Lawang Sewu, and I can't recommend it enough 🙌 This historical building is full of stories. Its architecture is mesmerizing, with hundreds of doors and windows that seem endless. There's also a statue of Zheng He, a Chinese traveler and mariner here. Between 10 AM to 2 PM here will be super hot. But you lso can enjoy several Semarang culinary (including various ice) to reduce the heat feeling. You can also rent imperial Chinese costume to take photos here (with additional fee). The entrance fee for weekdays is IDR 15,000 for Indonesian adult, and IDR 25,000 for international visitors. How to go there : Using Public transportation, BRT (Semarang City Bus) corridor 5 and get off at Sam Poo Kong bus stop. You need to walk 200 meters to the attraction. ##weekendgetaways
