County Sligo is home to many historical and cultural attractions as well as stunning natural scenery. Benbulben is a place where the green of the mountains and the blue of the sea meet, while the Mullaghmore Peninsula is a place where the blue of the sea is layered. Together, they form the most beautiful prose poem on the Emerald Isle. On the map, both are north of Sligo town center. It takes about 15 minutes to drive from the town to Benbulben, and another 20 minutes to Mullaghmore Peninsula. Benbulben Navigate to Benbulben Forest Walk, where parking is free. This is a national forest hiking trail (Figures 2 and 3) and is divided into Benbulben Loop (about 5.5 km), Yeats Loop (about 5 km), and Cashel Loop (about 4 km). Generally, it takes about 20 minutes to walk from the entrance to the place where you can take a picture of the whole Benbulben. Next to it is an introduction to the Yeats Trail (Figures 6 and 7) (Yeats: a famous Irish poet and playwright, winner of the 1923 Nobel Prize in Literature, and a native of County Sligo). Looking up at the "Table of God" Benbulben, the poet Yeats mentioned this mountain many times in his poems. The ridges of the mountain have extremely steep slopes, adding a sense of weight and loneliness to the Wild Atlantic. Mullaghmore The Mullaghmore Peninsula is located at Siya Miraya Pari Point, where you can only park your car on the side of the road (fortunately, it is not a main road and there are not many cars). This location is the most photogenic place in the area, with white sandy beaches, Classiebawn Castle, and Benbulben in the distance all gathered in your frame. Next to it is the sea, which has the most giant waves in Ireland, making it a favorite place for Irish surfers and windsurfers. Classiebawn Castle It is less than 200 meters from the previous location and is private property. It is truly backed by Benbulben and faces the sea. The coastal rocks, constantly eroded and washed by the sea breeze and waves, look like long laser beams from Star Wars, forever fixed on the Wild Atlantic.
