Monk Khun Wubi Temple was built in 1357. The temple enshrines a huge bronze statue of a sitting Buddha that was originally standing outdoors in the 15th century. It is a Thai Buddha statue. It was not until the reign of King Rama V in the 1950s that the temple was rebuilt, and in 1956, a donation from Myanmar was accepted to restore the main hall, and the Buddha statues could be enshrined indoors. During the restoration process of this Buddha statue, it was found that there were hundreds of small Buddhas in the body of the giant Buddha. The news came out that it was respected and admired by the visiting Buddhists in Ayutthaya. There is a large parking lot at the entrance of the temple, and there are rows of stalls selling souvenirs on the opposite side, including some local native products, postcards and indistinguishable antiques.
