[2025 Al Wadi Al Gadid Desert Attraction] Travel Guide for White Desert National Park (Updated May)

1st experience at White Desert, Egypt. Spent 2 days a night there and it's really a wonderful trip. During the trip, we visited Black desert and spring water oasis as well. We also enjoyed 4x4 car sand dune on the desert, it was fun and exciting. During sunset, we played sand boarding and watched beautiful sunset too. At night we sat surrounded a camp fire amd having our dinner. We were very lucky to see Milky-way on that night and shooting plenty of great photos. Sunrise was in front of our camping tent the next morning. It is really a stunning view. There is no toilet and sleeping area for visitors. You can set up your tents anyway. With tour they have their own specific tent (for kitchen) set, so your sleeping tents will be set up at that area. There are few landmarks in white desert like 'Mushroom and chicken' stones because the shapes are similar to mushroom and chicken. This is a good experience and sure memorable.

Barbecue and Stargazing in the White Desert As sunset approached, we reached the White Desert, one of Egypt’s most mesmerizing landscapes. The strange, wind-sculpted chalk formations stood like giant sculptures, glowing in the soft orange and pink hues of the setting sun. It felt like stepping onto another planet. We set up camp and prepared a traditional Bedouin barbecue. The smoky aroma of grilled meat and vegetables filled the air as we sat around the fire, sharing stories and sipping sweet Bedouin tea. The silence of the desert was calming, broken only by laughter and the occasional crackle of the fire. As night fell, the sky transformed into a breathtaking canvas of stars. With no city lights for miles, the Milky Way stretched clearly above us, and countless stars shimmered in the darkness. I lay back on the cool sand, mesmerized by the endless universe above. It was a humbling, peaceful moment—one that made me truly appreciate the beauty of the desert. The Next Morning Waking up in the desert was just as magical. After a simple breakfast, we visited the Valley of the Golden Mummies, where ancient tombs revealed glimpses of Egypt’s Greco-Roman past. The journey ended with a visit to one of Bahariya’s natural hot springs, where I dipped my feet, letting the warm water soothe away the last traces of the desert’s chill. #Overseas travel I went to the Bahariya Desert for 2 days and 1 night!! I went on a tour I heard that the Bahariya Desert, which takes more than 4 hours to get to from Cairo, used to be a sea😶 I was surprised by the desert's appearance, which was completely different from the sand dunes I usually knew!! I visited many places such as the Black Desert, White Desert, and Crystal Desert, and at the end, I went camping for 1 night while looking at the Milky Way⛺️ There was no place to wash or a bathroom, so it was a little inconvenient... but it was an incredibly romantic experience to fall asleep in the middle of the desert while looking at the falling stars😆 My parents in their 50s were with me~ The guide took pictures so diligently, and the food provided was so delicious that I didn't have to struggle much and just made memories for 2 days and 1 night..🥹🥹

Stepping into a very different #Egypt. It felt like we were on another planet. The White Desert use to be a large sea basin millions of years old. What's left are these massive concentrations of calcium that have eroded over time to create unique structures that are pure white in parts.
