Xiangshawan, Inner Mongolia|It was so fun that kids couldn’t leave.
You must be careful when bringing your children to Xiangshawan, Inner Mongolia, because the children will not want to leave.
⭕️About Xiangshawan
💎There are Lotus and Fusha Hotels in the Xiangshawan Scenic Area. We chose Lotus, and the transportation between Xiansha Island and Yuesha Island is 🆓. Cable cars, off-road vehicles, small trains or desert yachts are all very interesting.
🏨The hotel room is not big, which I expected, but the advantage is that it includes three meals a day, the beef and mutton are delicious, and snacks and soft drinks are always available in the lobby and outdoor play area.
🏜The hotel has VIP access to Xiansha Island. You can ride camels and watch acrobatic performances on Xiansha Island. Children like fruit bug slides, little ladybugs🐞circle cars and internet celebrity trains. The top of Xiansha Island is also very exciting.
🌊Yuesha Island can be regarded as a water park in the desert. There are many kid-friendly projects that children can play. The swimming pool is only 0.3m deep, but 📸it is also very photogenic. There are few people riding camels and the route is long. You can also experience sand painting and pottery
☀️Get a sandboard before sunset and take your children to find a sand slope to slide on and wait for a desert sunset
🔥Go to Chai Feng Camp in the evening to watch the song and dance party and fireworks show. The atmosphere is great and the stargazing activities are also great.
🐎Ordos Grassland: The tour includes a joint ticket, which has 22 entertainment projects. You can experience go-karts, grass skiing, bumper cars on the grassland, and Mongolian-style projects such as sheep catching, horse roping, archery, pot throwing, and Mongolian signatures.
🎯The track for grass skiing is very long, and there are more performances at night. The equestrian drama is very shocking, and the bonfire performance is also very exciting.
🍺The horse-racing banquet for dinner is a special feature. Wear Mongolian costumes and take your children to see the Yuan Dynasty palace banquet.
🌋Ulan Hada Volcano: You can wear spacesuits and take photos at both the No. 3 and No. 6 volcanoes📷. After climbing to the top of No. 5 volcano, you can overlook the grassland, which is very shocking.
🔮Or wearing bright colored clothes will make you stand out. After taking the picture of the spacesuit, the child started to squat down and pick up agates, and he couldn't pull them away.
✅About accommodation
✔Xiangshawan Lotus: The appearance of Lotus is very grand. It is divided into 3 rings and the top floor. The first floor has a full view without any obstruction. Then you can watch the sunset in the Golden Lotus area, the Red Lotus area is suitable for watching the sunrise, and the Purple Lotus area is close to the elevator. close. After taking my children to stay at Zhongwei Desert Star, the attractions here are the highlights.
✔Ordos Yurt: Outside the room is the prairie, not far from restaurants and performances
✔Volcano B&B: Not far from the volcano, you can see the volcano and the starry sky from your room
OLIVIA BUCHANAN
Two days and one night to experience the charm of Ordos.
🌇 Although it was a rushed business trip, I took the opportunity to experience the unique style of this city. The sky in Ordos is as blue as a sapphire, and the clouds float in the sky like cotton candy. There are vast grasslands, and the blue sky and green land meet, making people feel particularly comfortable.
💖 After work, I went to the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan. A sense of solemnity and solemnity came over me. The buildings here are unique, and the yurt-style palaces are magnificent. The golden glazed tiles shine in the sun. Every building and every cultural relic tells the legendary story of Genghis Khan. This is not just a play, but a dialogue with history.
🌅 The next morning, I was awakened by a ray of sunshine and started a new day of travel. I came to the Xiangshawan Tourist Area, a desert world full of fantasy. As far as the eye can see, the rolling sand dunes shine with golden light in the sun. I experienced the exciting desert motorcycle, and the feeling of speeding made my blood boil. In the melodious sound of camel bells, I felt the tranquility and mystery of the desert.
🥙 In the evening, I took the time to taste the special food of Ordos - hand-held meat. The tender lamb, with its simple cooking method, retains the deliciousness of the meat to the greatest extent. Take a bite, and you will feel full of happiness. Paired with mellow milk tea, the salty and sweet taste dances on the tip of the tongue.
🥰 Although the two-day and one-night trip to Ordos was short, it left a deep impression on me. There are beautiful scenery, delicious food, and enthusiastic people here. I have always been full of longing for Inner Mongolia, longing to gallop on that land and feel the magnificence and freedom of nature. I look forward to starting my trip to Inner Mongolia next time. 💖

Walking among the golden dunes, as your footsteps touch the sand, it emits a low humming sound, like the gentle whispers of the earth, carrying a mysterious and wonderful rhythm. Sand sliding is a signature experience here. As you slide down from the top of the dunes, the sound of the sand accompanies you, making it feel like you're conversing with the desert—an unforgettable sensation.

Great value for money trip to Inner Mongolia.
I took my parents to Inner Mongolia some time ago🏜. When we first decided to go, we were very happy, but when we were discussing the way to travel, we had some differences.
My parents think self-driving travel is better and saves money; but I think Inner Mongolia has a vast territory and the distances between various scenic spots are not close🚗. Although self-driving travel saves money, it may waste a lot of time and energy because of unfamiliarity with the road conditions.
And I prefer to spend a small amount of money to enjoy the trip and make every penny worth it😎, so although it took some effort later, I successfully persuaded my parents to try a more comfortable and relaxed way of traveling—— 🐬Chartered tour.
We contacted the tour guide in advance and communicated about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to experience. We also specifically explained that we were traveling with our parents this time and hoped that he would take his parents' age into consideration when making plans. My parents and I can not only save time on driving🚗 and doing guides during the trip, but we can also focus more on enjoying the good times during the trip.
The tour guide is worthy of being a tour guide. He clearly arranged the itinerary for this week for us. Taking into account the lack of physical strength of the elderly, he gave us enough rest time at the scenic spots and routes along the way~
Here I highly recommend Xiangshawan to everyone!!!
✨There are two large islands in Xiangshawan: one allows you to experience various sand activities with just a package ticket, and the other has a huge sand mountain that is super photogenic.
The time arranged by the tour guide was very reasonable, just in time to miss the crowds, and we didn't have to suffer from queuing at all. We were also not like many tourists who saw "a sea of people" when they arrived.
There was an episode at Shashan 🔒. The photos my parents took for me really didn’t meet the aesthetics of us young people. They were more or less standard tourist photos. I originally thought I could only take selfies as a souvenir, but the tour guide took the initiative to take the camera and was very skillful. Find the angle and suggest a pose.
I was a little messy at the time, but judging from the professional photography posture of the tour guide, it seemed to be pretty good, so I put it in various poses and took various shots, and the resulting film turned out to be very good, and I basically didn’t need to edit it to post it directly to my friends.
Overall, with the proper arrangements of the tour guide, it was a very enjoyable trip❤️. Even my parents, who initially insisted that self-driving travel was better, praised it 🐬The chartered car tour is great value for money
Inner Mongolia is very good, I will come again next time~

The final chapter of the Yuesha Island attraction in Xiangshawan
I hope this travelogue can give you some inspiration. If you have the chance to visit Xiangshawan, be sure to experience the charm of Yuesha Island yourself. Xiangshawan Scenic Area is located in Dalate Banner, Ordos City, with convenient transportation. However, it is more convenient to depart from Baotou, taking about an hour's drive from Baotou city center.
Environment: The desert scenery is infinitely beautiful, with undulating dunes and a golden sea of sand sparkling under the sun, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts.
Activities:
- Desert Transfer Station: You can take a desert boat or a small desert train to reach the depths of the desert to Yuesha Island. It is recommended to check in on the small train, as it is very photogenic, and everywhere is a beautiful scene!
- Desert Water Park and Swimming: Experience the thrill of rapid progress and the water park in the desert, which is exciting and fun. The swimming pool offers a unique swimming experience in the sand for swimming enthusiasts.
- Sand Sculpture Viewing: The large sand sculpture works in the desert are breathtaking.
- Sand Sliding: Slide down from the high dunes to experience the perfect combination of speed and passion.
- Desert Camping: Camp in the desert at night, watch the stars, and experience a different kind of tranquility.
Dining: There are several restaurants in the scenic area offering local specialties at reasonable prices and authentic flavors.
Service: The staff are enthusiastic and friendly, responding quickly to the needs of tourists. There are filtered drinking water and shower area services.
Tips:
- The desert sun is strong, so remember to take sun protection measures.
- Wear comfortable shoes, as walking in the desert is quite strenuous.

Traveling to Inner Mongolia, I unexpectedly fell in love with this desert
🈺 Attraction: Dalate Banner Xiangshawan Tourist Area
📍 Address: Xiangshawan Tourist Area, Dalate Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
🎫 Ticket Price: Entrance + Cable Car + Desert Yacht + Xiansha Island + Camel Riding 240 RMB/person
🐫 Traveling to Inner Mongolia naturally includes a desert trip. First, take the cable car to the edge of the desert, then the desert yacht will take you deep into the desert center, the scenery along the way is beautiful‼️
🐫 Xiangshawan is divided into two areas: Xiansha Island and Yuesha Island. Both places charge separately, but a combined ticket is cheaper‼️
🐫 Xiansha Island mainly features thrilling and exciting entertainment projects, such as surfing cars, high-altitude zip lines, camel riding, Guolao Theater, flying towers, fairy roller coasters, hump roller coasters, bumper cars, etc., suitable for tourists of all ages‼️
🐫 Yuesha Island mainly features various performances, sand sculptures, and gymnastics, including sightseeing trains, desert science and education museums, sand sculpture parks, and high-speed boats. The most famous attraction is the swimming pool water park in the desert, which is super photogenic and suitable for travelers who love taking photos‼️
🐫 If you only have one day to play, one place is enough, and Xiansha Island is recommended‼️
🐫 There are two performances on Xiansha Island, at 11:30 am and 3:30 pm. At these times, there are fewer people queuing for the rides, so make sure to play during these times‼️
🐫 Around 5:30 pm, the desert will start to get windy and sandy. The sand will get in your eyes, making it impossible to take beautiful photos. If you want to take commemorative photos, do it early, don't wait until you've finished all the projects, as there usually won't be enough time‼️
🐫 If you are staying at a hotel outside the scenic area, you will basically miss the desert sunset because the last cable car is at 6:30 pm. But you can drive to the wild desert of Kubuqi to watch the desert sunset for free‼️

Hohhot Surroundings | Thrilling Roller Coaster in the Xiangshawan Desert
🚗 Xiangshawan's sand dunes are 110 meters high, with a slope of 45 degrees, forming a giant crescent-shaped echo wall. The dunes here are tall, standing shoulder to shoulder, vast and boundless. Climbing up the cloud ladder, when people slide down from the top of the sand, they will hear a huge roar like an airplane passing through the sky; when you scoop sand towards the center with both hands, you will hear the croaking sound of frogs. Hence the name Xiangshawan. Based on its unique terrain and geographical location, Xiangshawan has developed into a large comprehensive desert leisure resort integrating sightseeing and vacation, including five areas: Lotus Sand Resort Island, Fortune Sand Resort Island, One Grain of Sand Resort, Joy Sand Leisure Island, and Fairy Sand Leisure Island.
🚗 The Xiangshawan Fairy Roller Coaster is probably one of the most worthwhile attractions in this resort. It feels quite thrilling. This roller coaster features a desert theme, and its seats can rotate. The only downside is that the queue time is relatively long, while the actual ride time is just over a minute, so you need to be a bit patient.
🚗 Inside, it is actually a large desert-themed amusement park. Although it is a bit different from what I imagined, it is still a good place to take children to play if conditions permit.

Super fun Xiangshawan
You should plan a whole day for Xiangshawan as there are many activities: riding camels, taking sand boats, driving desert off-road motorcycles, cableways, sand sliding, and more. There is also a water project, which is very rich, and a large Mongolian theater performance that is very shocking! In the dining area, there are performances at noon! Very interesting! Kids love it! As a 5A scenic spot in Hohhot, it is worth the trip! Before going, you must bring sand socks, do sun protection, bring hats, and sunglasses! These are essential!

In the morning, we set off again to Huanghuagou, where a visual and spiritual feast awaits us. Riding the cable car through the ravines, we marvel at nature's craftsmanship. Of course, if you prefer not to travel far, the Inner Mongolia Museum, Dazhao Wuliang Temple, and General's Office in Hohhot are cultural treasures not to be missed.
💡Travel Tips:
Remember to book Mongolian robes online to avoid high prices at scenic spots.
The wind in Inner Mongolia is strong, so bring windproof hats and thick clothes.
Dazhao Temple closes at 6 PM, so plan your time accordingly.
Food recommendations: Kuangxiangzi, Hui District, Saishang Old Street. Don't miss the milk tea, beef jerky, and shaomai.

Hohhot - Camel Riding Adventure in Inner Mongolia
Xiangshawan, also known as the Singing Sand Bay, is a famous tourist destination in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, known for its unique desert landscape and a variety of entertainment options that attract numerous visitors. Among these, desert adventures are particularly popular, including thrilling off-road vehicle rides across the sands, sand sliding down tall dunes for fun, and camel riding through the desert for a unique experience of desert life.
There are also restaurants in the desert where you can take a break.
We chartered a car to Changshawan, took a cable car, and then switched to an ATV to reach the main area of Changshawan. I only rode a camel and did not participate in other activities because walking and taking photos on the sand was already an unforgettable experience.

| A large entertainment venue, offering a full range of dining, entertainment, and fun!. A day tour group is more cost-effective, with a package of 325 including transportation fees➕entrance tickets➕cable car➕most entertainment projects➕camel riding.

🌟Purchase sand socks and neck gaiters online in advance, as the sand can be very hot in the afternoon.
🌟Enter the scenic area at ten thirty in the morning, wait for five minutes and then take the number two cable car
🌟Taking the cable car is just the beginning of entering the desert, then you need to take an 'amphibious assault vehicle' to cross the desert to get to the island.
🌟The first thing to do on the island is to go camel riding together, and then you are free to do as you please.
🌟Xiansha Island is a 'desert amusement park' with many entertainment facilities, such as the Desert Summit, giant pendulum, roller coaster, etc.
🌟There are also self-paid activities like sand sliding, which you can experience
