Top tips for a great trip to London
Went for a London trip in October and really enjoyed every bit of it. Here are some of my tips:
- Visit the tower bridge/tower of London/Westminster abbey and surrounding landmarks at night for a very nice view and photos of the landmarks.
- Changing of the guard at Buckingham palace: ensure to go there early at around 10am to get a good spot. It gets really crowded and the police will block the roads
- Visit the Natural gallery is a must if you’re an art lover! I loved this museum a lot, there were works from Van Gogh, Claude Monet and many other artists that inspired them, along with several other European artists that I also grew to love as I went around the exhibition. Really good variety of art shown and very clean environment. One of the best art museums visited. You don’t have to book a slot and can walk in.
- Catch a musical! It’s a must, I recommend Les Miserables (classic), Book of Mormon (funny) or phantom of the opera (classic too). Heard Six is good too.
- Blank Street coffee is really good. Especially their white chocolate matcha
- Visit markets is a must! I liked Camden market but there’s others such as Borough market, Old spitafields etc

Westminster Abbey: A Magnificent Journey Through History and Faith
⛪️Westminster Abbey, located in the heart of London, is a masterpiece of English Gothic architecture. The spires and intricate carvings of the abbey evoke a sense of sacred solemnity as soon as you enter.
🗓️It is recommended to enter through the North Gate and walk slowly along the long aisle to feel the weight of history. The stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings inside the abbey are incredibly striking, exuding tranquility and mystery under the interplay of light and shadow.
💞Must-visit spots: The Poets' Corner within the abbey, where many famous English literary figures such as Shakespeare and Dickens are buried, is rich with literary atmosphere. Additionally, the exquisite design of the King's Chair, the sacred site of British monarch coronations, is truly awe-inspiring.
🎫Tickets are approximately £15 for adults, with discounts for students. It is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance to avoid queues. Bring your camera📷 to capture the magnificent scenery inside and outside the abbey. This journey through time is sure to be a wonderful experience.

London Special Forces Free One-Day Tour Guide
||🌟The train🚞 from Manchester to London is only about 35 pounds, and it takes 2h to arrive! I only stayed for a day and a half🥹 so it was a check-in style play, come and share some must-visit attractions tour routes~
·
1️⃣Westminster Abbey⛪
Take the subway🚇 to embankment station, you can pass the London Eye🎡, Big Ben🕰, to Westminster Abbey!! You don't need a ticket to take pictures outside📸, I heard that you can visit for free🆓 if you follow the people who worship, but it sounds a bit difficult🤫! Standing on the opposite side🈶 colored Corgi sculpture lawn edge (p13) looking up can take a picture of 🈚 people's church panorama (p12)‼️
·
2️⃣London Eye🎡
It's beautiful enough to look over from Westminster Bridge👀! There is no need to go up and sit for a while, it feels like a plain Ferris wheel. The dock below🈶 cruise ship can watch at close range (p7), but it is also very out of the picture on the shore~
·
3️⃣Big Ben🕰
The opposite lawn is very suitable for taking pictures with it (p9)! Stand on the edge and take a picture while the people across the street haven't crossed the road🚶🏻♀️, the background will be less people❗️
·
4️⃣Tower Bridge🌉
Take the subway🚇 to London Bridge station, you can see many interesting sculptures🗿 along the river and get closer and closer to the tower bridge, the closer the photo📸 is, the better!! There are fewer people🙋🏻♀️ on the bridge from the side elevator!
·
5️⃣King's Cross Station 9¾ Platform🧙🏻♀️
Harry Potter fans will not miss the magic platform🚉, located at Platform 9 of Kings Cross Station! No need to enter the station, follow the platform sign to see people queuing for photos! The staff will give you a college scarf🧣, let you choose a magic wand🪄 and a wall-through luggage cart🧳 to take a photo!! The finished picture is charged, but you can let your friends👭 take pictures for free with your mobile phone on the side👀

Whether you head to London to see the famous sights or just for a business trip, you’ll know the must see areas in the city. Westminster Abbey and the surrounding area is a great way to see the main sights of London without spending too long travelling.
I walked up towards the Westminster area from the Underground (St. James Park) and took the first photo on my way up.
Staying on this side of the river, offers a great shot of the London Eye as well. Walk around here to get the main sights of London and some great photos of everyday life in the city.

Kings and Queens were crowned here!
#londontrip
Absolutely stunning architecture with so much history which dates back centuries. This very exact place is where royals got married and buried (not all though). Some aren't even British Royalties. Kings and Queens were also crowned here.A very cool place to see with your own eyes. It is quite easy to spot because it is located not far from big ben and Westminster Palace
We didn't go in because we didn't have much time in our hands but we looked around and took some photos of this famous building in the entire UK.
So, if you have one week in London, make sure to go in and learn more of its history which we wished we could have done.
I just need to mention that you need to pay to go inside unless if you're attending in one of their church services.
Enjoy.

The Westminster Abbey is the royal church in London, does this look familiar to you? The royals will hold their wedding/ funeral here. You can buy ticket to go in to visit but we did not, we just came to visit :)

Westminister Abbey
Commonly known as the place where most important Royal weddings, and burials, and coronation, Westminister Abbey is an Anglican Cathedral built in by King Henry III. 16 Royal weddings happened here since 1100, the last of which is that of Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The Abbey is designed mainly in the style of Gothic architecture. Among the prominent features of the Abbey are Flying buttresses, ribbed vaulted ceilings, pointed arches, and rose windows-- all characteristic of the Gothic style.
Visit to the Abbey requires tickets. This means that you will need to buy a ticket to take a tour of the building which will take you to an informative guided tour around the Abbey.
However, you can enter for free if you wish to pray or attend a service as it is primarily a church.

Westminster Abbey, formally titled the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter at Westminster, is a large, mainly Gothic abbey church in the City of Westminster, London, England, just to the west of the Palace of Westminster.
It is one of the United Kingdom's most notable religious buildings and a burial site for English and, later, British monarchs. Since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066, all coronations of English and British monarchs have occurred in Westminster Abbey.
This is the place where another coronation will take place in May 2023 for King Charles III

The amount of history here was well beyond what I had originally imagined. Not only are there a lot of ties to British religious history, but British history in general. There are also ties to significant scientific, art, and literary icons throughout the last several hundred years. The free audio guide with your tour was also very helpful in giving a more in-depth look at some of the statues, memorials, and other sites to see during your visit. Overall I highly recommend this tour!

London Westminster
The London Westminster is the area between River Thames to Oxford Street. It’s an area where many important landmarks are located and the government of UK is sitting.
The most known landmark is of course Big Ben, the clock tower of the parliament building (the Palace of Westminster). But in addition to that, also the Buckingham Palace, the Westminster Abbey and also the home of the Prime Minister in addition to many other important buildings are located there.
As a travel tip I could recommend you to take a river boat from somewhere else and ride the boat to the Westminster Pier. Of course you can take the underground too if you are located somewhere along the London Underground area.
After seeing the important buildings you could have a picnic for example in St. James’s Park. There you could even have a chance to meet the Prime Minister. You may even find him from one of the pics of this post.

Westminster Cathedral, The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Precious Blood is the cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Westminster, London, the largest Catholic church in the UK, located in Westminster Victoria Street in the city.
This cathedral was built in 1895 and opened in 1903, and was consecrated on June 28, 1910. New Byzantine style, the clock tower is 83 meters high. For economic reasons, the interior decoration has yet to be completed. It is often considered the first Catholic church after the British Reformation, and it should be St. Patrick's Church in Soho Square.
In 1977, Queen Elizabeth II visited the Cathedral. She was the first reign of the Catholic Church after the British Reformation, but there was no ceremony. In 1995, Queen Elizabeth II visited the Cathedral again and became the first British monarch to visit Catholic ceremonies in centuries.
