Chengdu Wuhou Temple Museum-West District is located in Wuhou District, Chengdu. It was built between 1938 and 1942. After being incorporated into Wuhou Temple in 2003, it became an important part of the museum. It covers an area of about 130 acres and is a northern-style mausoleum complex in the southwest region. Its layout is a 400-meter central axis running through the north and south, with buildings such as the stone archway gate, Jingzhong Gate, stele pavilion, Jianxin Hall, and tomb chamber distributed in sequence. It is solemn and majestic, with both historical and artistic value. The West District is shaded by trees, and the ancient buildings and garden landscapes complement each other. It is an important window to understand Sichuan history and the culture of the War of Resistance. In recent years, the West District has been expanded into a Three Kingdoms cultural experience area. Relying on the cultural resources of Wuhou Temple, it has permanent theme exhibitions and intangible cultural heritage activities. In addition, interactive projects such as intangible cultural heritage markets and national style performances are also held here. Visitors can experience traditional skills such as Sichuan opera face-changing, ancient color magic tricks, and lacquer fan making.
