Wenhai Snow Mountain Cloud Natural Scenic Area, located in Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, is a place full of natural charm and unique cultural landscape. Wenhai is located at the southwest foot of the main peak of Yulong Mountain, Shanzidou, and is one of the areas of Lijiang Lashihai Plateau Wetland Provincial Nature Reserve. It has a high altitude, with an average altitude of about 3,180 meters. It is one of the natural landscapes with a high altitude in Lijiang. Wenhai is a seasonal lake, mainly formed by the melting of ice and snow from Yulong Snow Mountain. The lake is surrounded by vast grasslands and virgin forests, with rich vegetation and different scenery in each season. Beautiful Wenhai Lake in Lijiang Yunnan

No need to go to Xinjiang, Lijiang has its own "Altay"

Wenhai Village is really nice, it's really Yunnan's own Altay. The driver will contact you one day in advance to confirm the pick-up point and departure time. The service throughout the journey is also very good, and we were not rushed at any of the attractions. Full marks, highly recommended! This is Wenhai, a utopia hidden deep in the snow-capped mountains. We went to Wenhai in late autumn and enjoyed the colorful scenery along the way.
