Historic buildings

The Wenchang Confucian Temple was built in the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty and the eighth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1375). Wenchang Confucian Temple has deeply attracted students and tourists from all walks of life at home and abroad with its antique architectural craftsmanship in Ming and Qing dynasties and a strong Confucian cultural atmosphere. When you come to the gate of Wenchang Confucian Temple, you can feel the ancient fragrance here. There is a statue of Confucius in front of the gate. Stepping into the gate, the mottled ancient buildings show the vicissitudes and history of Wenchang Confucius Temple. In the Dacheng Hall, there are Confucius statues, Confucius proverbs, and famous calligraphy steles. The Wenchang Confucian Temple is the only Confucian temple in my country that does not open its gate to the south. The reason is unknown, but there is a legend that it is because the old Wenchang people once swore an oath: "If Wenchang does not win the champion, the Confucian Temple will not open the gate." Later. The Confucian Temple does not have a south-facing gate, but only two side gates, one on the left and one on the right.
