I have enjoyed my stay in Wellspring by Silk in Yilan, Taiwan. However, it is not up to a standard of a luxury stay based on the price that I have paid. The pros are good location and have decent facilities for hotspring, exercise, breakfast and a happy hour at 5pm-630pm. However, there is insufficient space for the happy hour and people has to stand to enjoy. It is also a little underwhelming considering the price paid whereby there is no service to handle our luggages and the outlook seems like a roadside hotel. Thankfully, the room standard is decent. Overall, it is decent but not worth the price I’ve paid.

We had our dinner in Jiaoxi at Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi Crystal Spring Hotel, having hot pot together, warming up around the stove for a warm and happy evening. The dinner location is at San Fan Jiaoxi inside the hotel! And we ate the top hot pot set meal of San Fan, the set meal has a variety of fresh seafood and land ingredients, so rich. While tasting the hot pot, you can also enjoy the healthy vegetables here! It displays a full range of fresh vegetables, fruits and frozen shrimp that can be taken and eaten at will. Such a happy evening, everyone also come to have a drink! Japanese hot pot with sake is definitely a perfect match. At this moment, the waiter served the hot pot sauce onions, chili, garlic, soy sauce, sesame sauce and vinegar all have. It is a hotel located in Jiaoxi, about 40km from Taipei. I took a bus from Taipei just to go to this hotel because each room has a private hot spring on the balcony + you can enjoy a hot spring pool on the hotel rooftop. The mini-bathroom on the room balcony was so cozy and nice, but the rooftop swimming pool was really the best. Maybe because it is not a famous tourist attraction, there were not many guests, and our group was the only one in the swimming pool all evening, so we were able to swim and enjoy ourselves to our heart's content. The free 1-hour happy hour was great because there were a lot of salty snacks, and the breakfast was perfect for Korean tastes. ㅎㅎ I recommend this to those who want to enjoy a special staycation while traveling in Taiwan:)
