Taiwan 7-Day *Jinghua* Tour @Wellspring by Silks
Come on, let me continue sharing my trip to Taiwan! This is a travel diary of Taiwan from Hualien to Jiaoxi. My father and I stayed in Hualien for two days, and on one of the days, I joined my good friends Mr. and Mrs. Mianbao to explore this hot spring town.
After having a sumptuous lunch in Hualien, we took a special car to Xincheng Taroko Railway Station and took a train to Yilan Jiaoxi, the hot spring town.
The train finally arrived and we were about to embark on our journey to Jiaoxi.
We arrived in Jiaoxi in about an hour and a half! As soon as we stepped out of the train station, we saw the hotel’s special car coming to pick us up. In fact, the ride was very short and only took a few minutes to arrive.
The hotel we are going to stay at today is Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi Jingquan Fenglu, where we can fully experience the flavor of Jiaoxi Hot Springs.
The room we stayed in this time is the Quansi Suite, which is 427 square feet in size. The decoration with a Japanese style makes it feel very comfortable. As soon as you step into the room, you will see the space for luggage and clothes hanging, and then you will see the sleeping area and small living room.
I really like this spacious big bed, and the pillow menu includes tea pillows, memory pillows, hypoallergenic pillows, and Dupont pillows, which is very thoughtful. Facing the bed is the coffee table and sofa, there is a TV on the left wall, and a mini bar on the right.
The free mini bar beverage includes free mineral water, filter coffee and three-dimensional tea bags. Of course, tea and coffee making equipment are also available.
What I personally have the most requirements for is the toilet and shower room! The bathroom here is equipped with a multifunctional bidet. The room is not very large but there are two washbasins. Personal bath products, hair dryers, towels and imitation rush slippers are all available.
On the right hand side is the independent shower room. It looks nothing special but it is actually a different world. Pushing open the glass door on the left hand side, it turns out to be an outdoor open-air bath.
You can enjoy the fun of hot springs here without any restraints, which is super refreshing, but it is always located outdoors, so please speak softly, haha.
After looking at the rooms, we went to the Takizuki recreation area on the top floor of the hotel, which has a hot spring swimming pool, hot spring pool and massage pool. At night, it will be transformed into a starry sky cinema. It’s so chill.
The water can't stop swimming because we still have activities to participate in! Just go to the lounge on the second floor of the hotel to enjoy Happy Hour and participate in the silk-screen paper fan experience.
The Lounge on the second floor of the hotel will provide free selected drinks, various nuts and snacks during Happy Hour. You can relax here when you have time.
After that, we walked to Quanyong Gallery to participate in the cute ink painting for free. A good time to experience silk screen paper fans! Follow contemporary emerging ink painter Cai Mingcan to create a practical and beautiful hand-cranked paper fan based on Yilan cuisine.
During the experience, we also tasted whiskey and raw chocolate. It was so enjoyable! It was really a blessing!
Teacher Cai first let us choose our favorite patterns, and then taught us step by step how to make a beautiful hand-cranked paper fan. The process is definitely not difficult but it does require careful production! At this moment, everyone is working hard to make their own hand-cranked paper fans.
I chose a dolphin to represent peace and a lobster for Food Truck Dad.
I also added a few more seagulls to the paper fan as a complement, and the finished product is pretty good for my own use, haha.
We woke up early in the morning and walked to Sanben Jiaoxi again to have our energetic breakfast.
The breakfast buffet has plenty of options, including fresh fruits, salads, fruit bowls, detox juices, roasted vegetables, and cereal breakfasts. It is colorful, attractive, healthy, and delicious.
The hot food area also has a wide variety of choices, including Chinese, Western and Japanese breakfasts. You can always find a combination you like.
There are also a large number of homemade breads to choose from, which will satisfy those who like Western breakfast.
There are also many varieties of drinks such as soy milk, fresh milk, coffee and tea, all of which are self-service, as well as my favorite fruit cheese and yogurt.
The car dad and I each selected our favorite delicacies and brought them back to share together. To be honest, except when traveling, we rarely eat breakfast! This rich international breakfast can satisfy our appetite.
After eating, it’s time to burn fat! We participated in the landscape phytoncide tour arranged by the hotel. Wufengqi Waterfall, let's go and have a bird's eye view of the Lanyang Plain and the beautiful scenery of the mountain waterfall.
The scenery along the way is picturesque and it’s so nice to breathe the air of nature.
We soon reached the third waterfall as we walked towards the waterfall area. The second waterfall was also very close. Although it was still early, there were still many tourists. We quickly took some nice photos and then went back to the hotel to check out.
