After longing for Beihai Weizhou Island, I finally set foot on this land amidst great anticipation. The scenery here is indeed breathtaking, and due to the limited number of people allowed on the island, it feels particularly quiet. At night, the streets are almost empty, so quiet that it feels a bit eerie. The trip was scheduled from May 1st to 5th. For transportation, I first traveled from Guangzhou South to Beihai, then took a ferry. I chose a hotel that offered free pier shuttle service (provided by the owner), which also had a swimming pool, quite distinctive. On the island, you can choose to ride tuk-tuks, but we opted to rent electric bikes, which allowed us to roam freely (charged by the day). The weather was sunny, perfect for a morning swim in the hotel pool. I don't recommend going out at noon when the sun is too strong, unless you're visiting some attractions. It's better to go out again from 3 to 4 pm, very leisurely and comfortable. We visited attractions like Crocodile Hill, Dripping Water Danping, Colorful Beach, Shell Beach, Shiluokou, and the Catholic Church. We also arranged a day at sea: taking the Da Fei to the yacht area, then boarding a yacht to experience some water activities. The sea trip was rather dull, and the water quality was just average. We only played with the glass-bottom boat and snorkeling. I honestly don't recommend going out to sea; it's enough to enjoy the island. Here are some must-visit places: - Shell Beach-Colorful Beach-Shiluokou, where watching the sunset at 5 or 6 pm is particularly beautiful, a must-experience. - The coastline towards Nanwan, go there at 3 pm to check in, and by 4 pm it gets crowded, the scenery is absolutely stunning! (Be careful of the waves at night when driving; we got wet by a sudden wave). - The Catholic Church is also a great place for photos and check-ins. - Crocodile Hill, we parked at the entrance and took an electric cart up, walking would be tiring. Regarding food, we went to Nanwan Seafood Market to buy our seafood and then had it processed at a restaurant, with processing fees ranging from 15 to 30 yuan. Some processing shops are quite a rip-off, so make sure to confirm the price in advance. We ended up having it processed at the guesthouse, and the owner was very nice. In conclusion, I highly recommend visiting here, it's a quiet island. You can stroll leisurely, ride your beloved little electric donkey, and enjoy the summer breeze. It's just perfect.

This island is found off the coast of Beihai, accessible by Ferry. It has beautiful beaches filled with interesting geological formations. I went in March and the weather was perfect - sunny in the middle of the day but breezy enough to feel comfortable. The Island itself is very expensive to visit (2x ferry tickets & an entrance fee for the island) so I would recommend taking a couple of days and doing some diving or swimming while you are there to make the most of the trip.

Today, I’ve compiled 8 seaside towns accessible by high-speed rail that are perfect for some peaceful alone time! Some of these places are deeply artistic, others are so pristine they move you—each one is worth putting down your phone and truly feeling the moment. 1⃣ Pingtan Island, Fujian From Fuzhou High-Speed Rail Station, it takes just an hour to reach this place known as the "Island County of a Thousand Reefs." Winter in Pingtan has a special charm. The sea breeze is strong but not biting; it feels like it cleanses your soul. Tannan Bay is my top recommendation. The sand is fine and white, and in January, there are almost no tourists—you can walk alone for a very long time. Beigang Village is also worth a visit. The stone house cluster nestled by the sea and mountains is incredibly artistic. I've had this restaurant saved for ages; it's the same one Xin Xinzi went to. The moment I walked in, I was absolutely blown away! The restaurant has three floors where you can eat or have afternoon tea. I booked afternoon tea and I highly recommend the tiramisu—it was so delicious! Every corner is incredibly photogenic. Make sure to come before 5 pm, as it's not as beautiful after sunset.

Today's route: Weizhou Island Dripping Water Danping, return to Beihai, high-speed train to Chongzuo, Taiping Ancient City in Chongzuo, check in at Daxin Mingshi Changliu Mountain Residence in Chongzuo Woke up naturally on Weizhou Island this morning, Jingye’s breakfast was delicious, offering both Chinese and Western styles. Packed up and went to the nearby Dripping Water Danping to collect coral. The coral is really amazing, see photo 3. Every shot at Dripping Water Danping looks like a masterpiece. Then came various transfers: the guesthouse drove us to the pier at 10:30, took the Beiyou 15 ferry to Beihai at 11:30. Arrived in Beihai at 13:30, took a taxi to Beihai High-Speed Rail Station, boarded the 14:30 high-speed train to Chongzuo, picked up the pre-rented car at Chongzuo High-Speed Rail Station, and drove to Taiping Ancient City. There’s nothing particularly special to eat in Taiping Ancient City. We chose Barbecue Tribe mainly because it’s riverside and you can watch the Iron Flower performance directly. The Iron Flower show starts at 8 PM. Before that, you can stroll around the ancient city, which is actually not much different from other newly built ancient districts in China. The highlight is the real and fake ethnic minorities you see everywhere, haha! The Iron Flower show is really stunning. It starts with a drone warm-up, then the Iron Flower performance combined with water flying acts. See photos 11 to 17 for yourself. The best part is the entire scenic area, from parking to tickets to the show, is completely free, which is really great. After the show, we drove to the guesthouse in Chongzuo, Daxin Mingshi Changliu Mountain Residence. This guesthouse is deep in the mountains, with the magical mountains of Guangxi right outside the window, see photo 18.
